Fortnite for Nintendo Switch found on Korean Ratings Board

With E3 within only a few weeks, this is the time for rumors to be at their most wild and speculative. Especially when it comes to popular games. There's also been quite a few games leaked prior to the actual press conferences, such as Team Sonic Racing, Rage 2, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey, leading to the actual confirmation of these games potentially weeks earlier than intended. When Walmart isn't "accidentally" letting the existence of these titles out to the public, a good way to get an early confirmation of a game is by checking out each country's Ratings Board. This has lead to the discovery of games like Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered, Okami HD, and Super Bomberman R multiplatform, far before the actual reveal.

The latest roundup of interesting new ratings from the Korean Game Ratings Board shows three game releases that could potentially be happening: Borderlands 1 GOTY for XB1, PS4, and PC, Sunset Overdrive for PC, and lastly and potentially most interestingly, Fortnite for the Nintendo Switch.

This also follows a "leak" from 4chan stating that Fortnite, Paladins, Dragon Ball FighterZ and more would be getting announced at Nintendo's Direct at this E3. Once more, after correctly predicting the Fallout 76 tease, Kotaku has corroborated this specific rumor, and claims that they have a source at Epic Games that has confirmed this as truth. Of course, it's all to be taken with a grain of salt until June 12, the day of Nintendo's conference.

That's how I feel about the BR genre in general. PUBG, Fortnite... H1Z1.. Meh. Casual time wasters that shouldn't be as big as they are.
Agreed, even the MOBA genre was more dependent on skill, the bigger issue there was always having to rely on random teammates to fulfill their roles properly.

Also, Witcher? Really... Aside from shiny lights everything looks so blatantly fake.. Even GTA V looks better. :x
Well, assuming we're talking the PC version with maxed graphics, yeah, it definitely looks better than Crysis or GTA V, unless perhaps you mod the latter.

I'm new here and I'm not an exceptionally big fortnite fan either... But wow this is an exceptionally negative community

Edit:
I'm guessing the switch brings a much younger audience or something
The majority of this community seems to dislike Battle Royale games, doesn't mean we're negative about everything.

Fun game, I love to play with friends. Problem with the crossplay though is that usually the PC players will destroy anyone on the other platforms, but it's great to have the choice. Whatever helps me pad my stats haha.

Fortnite looks like WoW in 2003. If anything it should've been exclusive to Switch and 3DS in the first place, because any other system's power is completely wasted playing this game.
Fortnite is designed for mass appeal, so the devs traded graphical intensity for being able to run the game on lower-end systems. That way, more people would be able to play the game, even if their specs aren't necessarily the best. Sure, they might've been able to make the game look prettier on consoles, but the game, by no means, is aiming for realism, and looks highly stylized as-is.

Not to suggest it's all about the graphics, but Fortnite's gameplay seems shallow and too casual as well. You shouldn't miss shots when your crosshairs are directly over an opponent, might as well determine the outcome of every battle via RNG.
Not gonna lie, Fortnite's bloom mechanic is kind of bullshit. Basically, every shot except for your first has a random chance of hitting your opponent, which seems to favor skill over luck. I guess it's because Fortnite is more focused on resource-collection and fort-building than on PvE, with the devs wanting the players to focus their skills more on those than anything else, but still.

That's basically the problem of shotguns, the bullet spread is kind of random if hit without aiming. The other problem is the first shot accuracy, but you described it a bit wrong. It resets after you rest for a while (like, a second or two) and the first shot becomes 100% accurate again, and if you crouch while aiming your chances of having a better accuracy are bigger since the crosshair reduces in size, getting near the 100% accuracy range.

But since most gun fights happen with shotguns, everybody shoots themselves without aiming and jumping, which reduces the accuracy a lot.

RIP my user made news thread. Should've had Fortnite in the title eh?

I wouldn't mind it coming to the Switch, but I don't personally care for the game much. In fact, nothing on the list was too interesting or exciting to me.
