Safe mode is safest. however if you have another update pending you may need to change your DNS to al azifs, and if it still persists, wipe your PS4 with the 5.05 REC pup instead.

Hey I have a bit of a noob question. Is app2usb better than using the ps4 external device setting for external hard drives? All I want is more space to install games etc. I only have a 500gb fat ps4 and have a 3tb external hdd spare. Thanks

I'm very interested in the recent advancements of the ps4 so I was looking into getting a second ps4.

can i use the exploit on a ps4 that is already banned?
can i use the exploit on a ps4 that has a non working disc drive?
does it work on all ps4 models?

Just remembered i have a third ps4 that's been in a draw for ages. The disc drive failed and it's a model where replacing the laser deck didn't work i think the motherboard has some sort of controller on it for the drive...

It's on 5.01 i;m gonna see if it updates to 5.05 or if it fails.

You simply cant use sonys extended storage method with fpkg: doesnt work.

1, cant get banned cos cant get on psn.

2, yes, aslong as you can still launch psn titles (daughter board/logic board works?)

Right so even though the console doesn't recognize the bd drive whatsoever it still allowed the update from 5.01 to 5.05. I'm guessing as the controller or whatever still matches the motherboard even though something has blown/failed it still works.

I want to be excited for this, but in 2018 I don't think I can go back to playing Playstation without trophies or online and I already bought the few games on the system I actually wanted, anyways...

FAQ, please!

Right. Setup DNS and click the button on every boot and you're good to go.

Games take up alot of memory. You can save space by booting it off of external

Edit. I think they're working on a way to implement permanent cfw so you can save time and not always enter the browser to fire up the exploit

I don't think disconnecting your psn accounts entirely matters at this point if you can't connect to the psn servers due to the update blocking it
