no you dont need to install CFW on your old system
MT-Card itself is a CFW you need to get FBI.3DS https://github.com/Steveice10/FBI/releases/tag/2.5.0 it's inside the zip file
then you use FBI via the MT-Card menu to install say the FBI CIA if you like, and the JKSM cia file then you have access to JKSM

i bought a new 2ds xl updated to latest fw and have stickerhax. can i hack it? or what are my options. i have no money to buy a flashcard or an eshop card to do the other methods. so what CAN i do?

Holy shit I didn't know that! That's amazing. And when I extract it from my old system, I can copy it to my new system? Do you know where the extracted save file is saved and where I need to place in my new system! Thanks a bunch!

if it's on 11.6 then you need to either buy a Flashcard or a $2 eshop game (dont need a eshop card you can pay the $2 via credit card) using the seedminer method https://gbatemp.net/threads/seedminer-fc-and-mining-help.496114/

when you extract all your saves via JKSM you copy the JKSM folder to your New3DS and install the games, run the games to create their data, then run JKSM and install their saves

you can transfer your EmuNAND over the top of your SysNAND
you backup your saves using JKSM or Checkpoint and restore them over on the new setup

you cannot transfer the games between the systems because they are most likely unlinked etc, and will not work
you will have to redownload them and restore the saves via JKSM or Checkpoint like I stated above

or you can setup your system to Auto Boot your EmuNAND

Hey, I'm having trouble to install JKSM. My system says there is 0.0 memory available on my SD card. Even when I pop it in my PC I can't write to it. It's not locked, I checked that.

Edit: The SD card is also called EmuNAND on my PC.

I doubt it. My PC doesn't even show that it has storage capacity. FBI says there is exactly 0.0 available.

goto "My Computer" or "This PC" right click on the drive, and goto Properties

Hope someone can help(Going on holiday tomorrow!)
Switched my 3DS XL on for the first time in about 6 months, The issue is that my R4I 3DS RTS card boots up, but then when I click on Games it just freezes once it shows the first 2 items.
I tried the troubleshooting on 3ds.guide to no avail.
Anyone got a fix?

check that your SD card isnt a fake/damaged, copy all the files off of it to your computer and see if they all copy

The R4 card worked before I CFW and then it didn't work I remember now(and gave up)
So definitely nothing wrong with my card.

EDIT:
Scratch that last comment. Copying files over and it is just saying 0bytes on a nds game.

seems like it's a corrupt/fake SD card

see if you can salvage any of the save games

Luckily I only had a few saves and all copied

format the SD card
and test it with https://www.heise.de/download/product/h2testw-50539
see if it's damaged/fake
