PROTIP: Be sure to delete all your title keys from the old site by tapping the trash can next to it. Use the QR scanner to add the one from the new site. DO NOT REFRESH FREESHOP! Click the Home Button, exit freeshop, and start it up again to update the inventory.

I just figured it out. I had the access to the site that permits Nintendo's updates blocked on my router so that my Wii U firmware wouldn't be updated automatically. Problem solved! That problem at least... Now we'll see if Freeshop will work.
You sir (or ma'am) were 100% correct. I updated my system, and now it works perfectly. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

@pixelmasher Since there is nothing like yet another titlekeys file database appearing on Google, I just want to ask if I understood the thing right: is this about the "old" website where I got the file being replaced with another one? What is th eproblem with the previous one? (I'm not asking for some URL)

It was covered a while back. The domain name expired. I guess there was issues with getting it renewed so the person just moved it to a new domain.
