It sounds like the HDD is falling asleep (and Nintendont's code that's supposed to prevent this isn't working). This tool might help: http://support.toshiba.com/sscontent?docId=98082914
Congrats, sir! You have led me on a wild goose chase to disable a feature that doesn't even exist on my hard drive! (No joke. The tool didn't work for me and I wasted the past 3 hours trying to get the tool to recognize my hard drive...)
Yeah, my hard drive has no auto sleep function, but at the same time I sometimes have it disconnecting on me when I'm playing PC games off of it, requiring me to unplug it and plug it back in.

That sounds like that may be the issue. You typically get the "Refer to manual" error when the GameCube can't read the disc or in this case Nintendont can't read the ISO.

Yeah, but I have no issues playing Wii backups off the hard drive. I should know, considering I'm actively playing Xenoblade Chronicles. Also, it rarely disconnects from my PC. I think it has only happened twice in the past year that I've had it. When playing GameCube ISOs, the error always occurs.

Bad USB cable? I'm not sure exactly what the problem is but I am sure Nintendont isn't causing the drive to fail on your PC. ;)

why do people always use this comparinson? just becuase you can play wii backups it has nothing to do with nintendont, wii backups for instance dont even need a y cable on the wiiu vwii while nintendont needs, the way wii backups play is much less intensive on seeking and waiting for replys from the hdd, nintendont needs to be spot on becuase the way usb codding was coded to even work on gc semi native stuff.

if for a single call your hdd fails to reply nintendont will not transmit that call to the game and the game will thrown an errr becuase gc games are way older than wii games and have less safety checks and son on.

What?
That makes no sense...
The power requirements are not based on the way the drive gets used, but on the drive itself.
It wouldn't work on Wii U, vWii, Nintendont nor any other emulator/homebrew...

Can whoever did the GameCube controller adapter for wiiu implementation please implement it into a CIOs so we get GameCube adapter functionality in vwii games? + This will also add GameCube controller support to Wii minis

im telling you most drives dont need a y cable to play wii backups while they absolutely need for nintendont, i seen alot of reports like this and i mean alot.

I don't think it's that simple, and how do you mod a Wii Mini? They have no network or SD slot.

yeah wiiminis cant even be modded at all lol so how one would install a cios is beyond me, alos hid controller stuff couldnt be made to be a cios it can be added manualy to anything the problem is most devs dont want to waste time adding hid support.

I'm not sure what the issue is? It might be better to explain it than a screenshot.
The shield meter is impossible to read while it's all screwed up, it's supposed to be a green circle. And on the bottom right corner, there are red and green scattered lines on the secondary weapon / laser HUD. The radar is fine. I also tried older versions down to 4.407 and the issue's still there.

reverting wont do much this tiny issue has been there since the begining, fix94 took a look at hit but didnt find a solution and since its such a small issue no one ever gave much attention to it i played rogue squadron 2 and 3 in full and it didint bother me and i was the one that reported that issue to fix94 xD.
