That makes sense yes. ^^Arcade roms actually NEED to be zipped, because they're usually a collection of multiple files.

I don't think they can.Can the zips themselves be renamed to be better? Something like SF2AUS or something is too confusing to understood what the name actually is.
I don't think they can.
I remember back when I was playing around with MAME, the name of the zips have to be a specific name or else MAME has problems recognizing the file.
Hey,
maybe some of you have a use case for this.
Retro Launcher
it's a quick mod of Dimoks HBL to keep the many RetroArch cores seperate from the other Wii U Homebrews. You launch it fom the HBL and it opens another instance of it, which is listing the RetroArch cores. You have to put the cores to sd:/wiiu/retro/*. To simply go back to the Hbl, just put a copy of the homebrew_launcher in the retro directory.
Really neat idea . Are you loading this app from out side of the apps directory ? or was that just the way you packaged it... i was going to add to the appstore but noticed your file structure.. this wouldnt work for the store .. ?????
Also , is there a working package of versions around .. save me some time in adding them all to the appstore ..
Thank you to you both! I haven't tried to play an arcade ROM in years! At that point, MAME on the PC would play most of the old arcade games, so I never looked into these others. I'll use Google and do some more research on this. I appreciate your help! You'll not get The Simpsons running yet - CPS stands for Capcom Play System and each is a particular Capcom made arcade board.... Like Osakasan says you'll need Final Burn Alpha roms, but at the moment you can only play the CPS games, Neo Geo, and Midway (on the Mame core) anyway - The Simpsons is a Konami game, and not yet playable.
Final Burn and Street Fighter II are CPS1 games
Marvel vs Capcom and Super Street Fighter II are CPS2
Street Fighter III is CPS3
Google will help for a full list of supported games....
The Retro Launcher is loaded from the usual apps dir. It searches in the retro dir for the RA cores. I made a copy of the HBL to the retro dir only to switch back.Really neat idea . yes but all of them in one file... i can grab them all individually .. wondered if anyone had bothered to get them all...You mean like from the buildbot? https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/nintendo/wiiu/
You have to create the retro directory manually. Retro Launcher is just a recompiled HBL, where I changed some pathes in the source files and some of the resources.ok ill add this then , does it create the cores directory on install ?

Maybe @aliaspider has some insight on that
huh ? im sure you guys have been grabbing them from the build bot page ..?
Other controllers/two player is not yet supported sorry.Any way to play using a Wii remote+classic controller on the Neo core? Looking for a way to play 2 players if it's currently supported. (unsure)
