I noticed they've also put down the cyclowiz down as not upgradable...hmm, we'll see soon.

Haha, i didnt notice that...Wonder why they say it is upgradable but dont put it down in thier chart....I guess we'll find out soon if the cyclowiz is really upgradable.

Yeh agreed so far the wiikey seems to the best chip out there but the new cyclowiz specs seem to put it on par with the wiikey...Im gunna wait till monday for the cyclowiz update then if not i might go buy a wiikey.

Doesnt the fact that it can be updated without the use of a switch scare anyone? Surely if nintendo could find out how they update the chip via dvd then surely they can put something on a game to flash the chip?

If that the case... your able recover flash chip by via DVD and improve having flash lock.
however I don't think nintendo build such thing as re-flash mod data it legally and event might cause any damage to our wii console. (some countries are modchip-free)

Far I know they can ban you using wii internet (like the xbox-live) or update the wii system.

Possibly just the flash of the camera, the chip doesn't seem to have a silverish ring on wiikey.cn

C2 is probably Capacitor 2, if you pay attention, there is a capacitor right there
