Hacking So is there any reason to get gateway over Sky3ds?

When I ordered they were showing 18 in stock, but strangely they are now showing over 100. I have no idea where they are getting them or if they are genuine, or if I'll even get it. I'll report back, and if I do get it I'm tempted to order more as spares.

Yow, eighty bucks! That's pricey! But I guess they're the only show in town at this point.

Edit: Something to keep in mind though. All the official retailers for the DSTwo (For the USA at least) are out of stock.

I'm not really sure why people say this. It's twisted logic. If nintendo blocks Sky, you just don't update... FFS, if nintendo blocks Gateway you don't update either. It's the same song and dance we've been doing for years.

I get the whole CFW angle with gateway, that's swell for people who like that sort of thing. 15-20 years ago I'd be all about it. Now, pffffft... I've got life to live. I just want the ROMs to work so I can do other stuff in my life besides tooling around with flash carts.

The only thing Gateway has going for it (for me) is that it will dump carts to ROMs - I'm not a pirate.

Is this a good time to bring up that I have a brand new gateway for sale...?

I'd say there's no need to even get Gateway anymore if you have a 9.2 or below 3DS, rxtools is free and amazing. It's setup EXACTLY like Gateway too.
But anything higher than 9.2, sky3DS is your ONLY choice.

Your wrong and your right if a game requires at one point lets say 10.0 and sky gets blocked on 9.9 what will you do? or if nintendo decides to release mandatory "game updates" on the eShop to play online for almost all online capable games you would be forced to update losing sky3ds usage completely. Also once rxTools supports New 3DS flash cards will become irrelevant anyways.
