With 3.1 booting into the Gateway Menu was a certainty from CN, but getting emuNAND to start was hit or miss.
Now on 3.2 booting into the Gateway Menu is hit or miss AND getting into emuNAND is still hit or miss. This makes my overall emuNAND startup stats roughly (I'm guessing) 65% success - around 1 in 3 failures somewhere along the way.

May be something's wrong with either your Gateway or your MicroSD which has your emunand, because it's almost 100% here. I've only had emunand black screen on me ONCE in at least 50 times I've booted so far.

This is Gateway 3.1.1. I don't like the 3.2 yet coz of it removing N3DS system settings in sysnand, which am not comfortable with. Besides, CN works GREAT every time :)

And this is coming from a guy who doesn't like keeping his N3DS in sleep mode. I ALWAYS turn off my N3DS due to my erratic gaming schedule.

It's working every single time for me. Have only booted into emu from sysnand around 7 times though, but I love how easy the new method is.

my regular black n3ds is always in sleep mode when i'm not using it is this a bad thing ? as for reliability i think gateway on n3ds is a bit more reliable then on the o3ds when it comes to booting to emunand. i have yet to encounter the grey screens i used to get with the o3ds on my n3ds.

Apparently N3DS can support SDF writing directly to carts, and I haven't read if O3DS can do that too. That's what I want the most, to backup and restore directly to carts with SDF, in between editing with PKHex.

I guess I'm just an asshole because I'm just glad I have an option like gateway. I don't care if it's not perfect, it's just that I am able to play games/homebrews/cia's using it. Sure, the exploit might not be perfect, but it's way better then what I had before. So while some of you complain it's not perfect, I'm just thankful it's possible.

Mine works so far 100% of the time since they released 3.1.0
I have never [pause so I can knock on wood] had a mis-boot/black screen and I re-boot 10-30 times a day.

I'm running a N3DS 9.0.0-20U FW with a SanDisk - Pixtor Advanced 64GB microSDXC Class 10 UHS-3 Memory Card inside the 3DS.
(a little bit overkill, but it's reliable and BB was out of stock on rag Class 10's, so they sold it to me for mega cheap... $36.00 as I recall!)

...and a Ultra 128GB microSDXC Class 10 Memory Card - Gray/Red inside the GW Red.
(128GB... can't go wrong with this except my right finger gets tired of constantly pressing Right to get out to game 200+)

Be honest, the biggest bug that I want to see fixed and the feature I want the most, especially since a lot of people on here have Japanese N3DS units, is that the ONLY way currently to play a game region free and in English(or whatever language you prefer), is to play it off the Red Card.

I want to be able to install a region free CIA and have it play in English and not Japanese. Mind you, these are the same CIA files that I've installed on my old USA XL 3DS and for a few people and they all play fine in the correct language. But, on the Japanese N3DS, even made from American ROMS I dumped(I dump all my own carts), they all still play in Japanese in CIA format.

It'd be nice if that was fixed, as I don't believe Region switching the EmuNAND is really at a point that it's feasible for everyone and I don't think there's a way to change the system language to English on the main menu.

Hit or miss? You're the first to have this issue.

Using the pack-in 4 GB microSD, using MSET or CN to boot into emuNAND, it works every single time for me.

However, when i swapped it out for a 16 GB SD card, i get a black screen no matter what method I use to load gateway. Not sure what is happening there.

Have you tried pressing shoulder buttons?

I'm talking about the Shoulder Buttons.
It still takes a while to get to the last loaded game going one-page-at-a-time.
None of the buttons repeat when held down.

I always think to what it would be like with my Sky and a few hundred games, then I say this GW is no big deal...
