so you did this to your 3ds MSD not sky right? Never heard of miniaide - little help on what you did, where you go it ,etc

I tried 2 different micro sd cards with the new files and instructions and still get frozen white screen when I press A

Failing that--try formatting the card.

format done.. multi rom works.... going into system settings up update Emunand...but it doesnt show GW3D.. is safe right?

It's the microSD card which goes in the 3DS itself which (may) need to be formatted, yes. I don't know about miniaide--but here's a link to software released by the actual SD Association: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

Yes, I do have the latest launcher.dat file on the microsd that goes in the N3DS (I just checked it again). According to OpenSSL the MD5 hash for launcher.dat is indeed BB69F8DB67E390959A395E45DEF39E59. I'll try formatting the card

I did this for the internal mSD on the n3ds xl. Just google miniaide fat32 formatter. The first link is a cnet download.

I'm trying to wait for a little bit till I press A when link is standing in the Hut but when I do it the 3ds just errors out and reboots

Alright, good, good. I very strongly suspect that it's just the card. It happens to me all the time; a lot of 'unofficial' software (especially hacks like this) seem to prefer a nice, clean card. Can you try formatting the card?

thanks just did - loaded up the internal 3ds card, deleted partition created new fat 32 one that was 3gb (or whatever the full amount was) put everything back onto the card including launcher.dat in the root (so it's launcher and Nintendo folder) and I still get the white screen.

my launcher.dat hash matches as well./

Make sure you write the game / save twice and try the second slot.

do i need to rename the AQEP.sav because when i went to restore it it's not showing up !!

never mind i found out how it should be done,right click on game & restore sav this way.

I've formatted the card then loaded more than 2 times. My rom is the same CRC32 checksum as the scene dump D65A17D9.

It seems there are now many users encountering corner cases, and trying to help them all here might make this thread very cluttered very quickly; would it be appropriate for me to start a new 'support' thread for those users?

EDIT: Especially for those who have a working save but encounter trouble upon triggering the exploit; I realize that trouble with getting a usable savefile loaded in the first place is sorta the point of this thread.
