Sorry for making some obvious questions, but I've been lurking long without understanding.
I've been planning on flashing my dsl for a while now, but I haven't got anyone to ask about some elementary questions much less than the more 'advanced' ones.
First off. I've understood the flashing process to be like this:
necessary items:
1. ds (in my case Lite)
2. flashcart, some kinda storage device like g6lite or supercard lite
3. passcard, for flashing (has to be lite compatible?)
"simply" load the flashing software to flashcart, using a passcard to access the cart and execute the flashing program.
After this the ds will be able to load from the flashcart, will not show nintendo warningscreen and does not need the passcard anymore.
Please do correct me if I'm wrong. I never got this confirmed from anyone
My plan wasto buy a g6lite+passcard 3 from shop.01media today, but I wanted it confirmed to be a good buy first, which didn't work out well.
I got the tip to buy the SuperCard Lite instead of the g6. Now I'm confused.
I do want a flashcart that can do some homebrew, I have some 'business in the scene'. I wan't to be able to play backuped NDS and GBA games. And I wan't a Lite model, nothing sticking out of my gbaslot.
Rom compability+price are my prios.
I'm not interested in a media player, I already have an mp3player.
The g6lite+passcard3 costs ~$150 while I would get a supercard lite, a passcard and a micro sd memory for ~$120.
Are there any obvious flaws to the supercard lite which makes it a bad buy?
Are there any obvious flaws to the g6lite which makes it a bad buy?
Are there any way to transfer data to the micro SD cards exept for some special reader? (I do have some standard "9-in-1' card reader, but I'm not sure it supports micro SD)
Are there any differences between different passcards? I never figured this. I only though they were used once for flashing.
The m3 lite seems to be to expensive and the dsxtreme doesn't have gba support. But are there any other ones worth looking at?
Please help out, I'm getting really stressed about this.
