Ok so I'm going to take on a pretty large undertaking. I will be testing my entire game library of about 70+ games with DM 2.2 2.3 - 2.6, in ISO 1:1 rips verified hashes with redump.org, DiscEx, GcReEx formats, with the most popular patches such as progressive patch, pad hook, and widescreen hack.
I will NOT be testing NMM as i have several real memory cards backed up and don't want to bother with NMM compatibility issues and will use the latest DM(L) booter as my loader exclusively.
I will make a post about every 5 games or so with full details on results or better yet if I still have the permissions to edit the compatibility list I will post my changes there.
This will be very time consuming and will be done on my free time, this will take quite a while so please don't expect this to be completed quickly or anytime soon. At first only games I have will be tested alphabetically, afterwards I will begin to test games I do not have. oh and Audio Streaming games will be skipped and labeled as such since I don't want to play the game w/o proper audio.
My goal is to provide as accurate a compatibility list as possible, so whenever crediar does decide to work on DM if ever, he will know exactly which rev is the latest a game worked on with what options. As well as to help users play the game they want.
Also if users want to keep progressive patch and padhook on with their 2 disc games just use 2.6 for disc switching and revert back to the rev which works with those options.
Also when installing DM install a clean MIOS wad, clean BC v6 first then DM. When uninstalling DM use a WAD manager to uninstall the current version first with the original WAD installed then install the Wad of the version u want. Yes u can overwrite but this presents issues that some people are having especially when different DM versions are being written, sometimes certain things are not overwritten properly, so be sure to uninstall DM WAD properly first then install new WAD.
Edit: I'll b testing the no disc feature as well. Which DM release has no-disc auto detected already So that you wouldn't have to choose it in the loader? I can't quite remember that far back. It would be a big help if anyone can confirm otherwise I might start with 2.3 NVM, the changelog right on the google SVN is extensive. I see 2.2 is the last rev which has the no-disc as an option config.. hmm I might have to start with 2.3 if that's the case but I'll make a decision when I start testing.
