http://postloader.freehosting.com/downloads/boot404t2.zip

But before you try it do the following steps:

1) remove the /ploader/stub.bin.
2) start pl from hbc in real nand
3) when pl ask for it, create the stub
4) restart postloader
5) start any homebrew
6) post the log

Thx ;)

Suddenly I'm having issues booting neek2o now. Priibooter keeps moving my pl_us nand into some folder called backup with a whole bunch of numbers, and it keeps moving ticket/title/shared2/etc. to the root of my USB drive, where I DON'T want it. Any idea what's going on? It's getting really frustrating.
Actually I was having these same issues when I explained that PL was having some kind of problem switching NANDS, I wasn't sure if it was a Neek2o or PL problem.

Ok, I've checked.... Neek2o nands must be changed inside neek2o. On real nand postLoader will move the selected nand to the root. This is the old way to change nands. Before overwriting the current nand in the root, postloader will make a backup... This way was added to support the original uneek that wasn't able to choose directly nand path as neek2o.

I think this feature is ready to be removed from postloader
Well maybe it shouldn't be completely removed, there are users that still use regular *neek/*neek-di instead of neek2o. If you remove this feature would it negatively impact those users?

To be honest if people haven't bothered moving from old-NEEK to NEEK2O they're probably not updating postloader either so they won't even realise the feature came and went. If they are using and keeping pl uptodate, then they should pull their finger out and update from (S|U)NEEK (which hasn't been updated since last year) to NEEK2O anyway. You can't support outdated tech forever.

Here's my log, I deleted the stub, recreated from hbc and restarted to try several homebrews:

Hey AbdallahTerro, it is crashing now ? It reports that the stub is ok (but I can't understed the first dump). You have removed the stub.bin manually or using remove stub function of postloader ?

What zfa said. In addition, the users who still use regular *neek/*neek-di already have their nands in the root folder. And most likely none in the \nands subfolder, as regular neek doesn't allow switching.

So yeah...I vote it to be removed. :)

I'm also drawing some attention to this post I made. It seems that starting a DM(L) game in postloader when in neek2o somehow calls to use the MIOS on the real nand. This is a known issue (I pretty much have it since first I tried to use DML...and I'm not alone on it), but until now I never realized the behavior of this is different than in the disc channel of neek2o's main menu.

However, thus far, I've been unable to get DM(L) working the way it was meant to be on neek2o (which is a bit different from regular xneek as well), so I can't really say how it should be fixed.

I tried both methods. I even cleaned everything related to PL from my usb.
All my ploader files are on sd
I really can't explain why this is happening here either.
In the log the last part is where WiiXball codedumped, the one before is when setting editor returned to SM.

I'll try now with hdd detached...
same thing when hdd is detached

I am late, but Iwant to thanks for the final release of pl4. Very good work and a nice new default theme!
For me all is working well and flawlessly. No crashes so far (running in real nand mode).

Maybe there should be a recommended setup with the revs of cios, nee2o, etc. in the readmii. This will guide the users to have an easy start and will prevent eventually some difficulties with outdated stuff.

@AbdallahTerro I'm not good in this stuff, but maybe you have something installed, what conflicts with the return to postloader feature. Maybe the wiiflow hidden channel for returning to wiiflow?

Anyone else experiencing a HUGE glitch with PL4? Whenever I try to launch a Wii game, it just launches Dios Mios instead. It's weird..I'll grab a log in a sec.

..Nevermind, it's something screwed up with my setup. It's not Postloader. I have NO idea why it does this, though.

A bit of a different question:

When running postloader in neek2o mode, is priiloader really necessary?

The latest (internal beta) neek20 revisions only work when priiloader is uninstalled. However, where all other homebrew still works more or less the same, postloader refuses to even start.

Okay, n00b to postloader here.

What's the point of having postloader if I have to use something like WiiFlow or CFG to run iso images?

So far I'm seeing no advantages just a convoluted skin that looks much worse than anything I've ever seen on the Wii.

What a waste,

If you don't like how Postloader looks, you can skin it yourself, mate. ;)

And the new 4.0 skin is pretty good looking.

It's meant to be a general all-round homebrew loader, game loader, emulator launcher(it can launch roms directly from postloader(it calls seperate emulator dols), with covers and such), and system menu like application. It won't be the best at any of them, but it has plenty of features. Thanks for insulting it though. :P

tldr: it's like the Homebrew Channel, but with more features, and is open source.

yeah, no doubt!
why even post?
Postloader does just about everything. because of Postloader, I haven't seen the system menu in over 6 months. Haven't had to worry about channels.
and priibooter Gui installed in priiloader makes it even better

I have no reply for you... but I will try latest neek2o build in these days, hoping I can fix (an reproduce) this.

Here's my log, I deleted the stub, recreated from hbc and restarted to try several homebrews:

Fix94 has fixed :D his open source stub, so also postloader will revert to using it. Hope this will solve your issue ;)

What are you talking about? PL can run games too, Wii/GC/WW/VC/EMU....take your pick... ;)
Anyway i get the feeling you are just trying to trash this homebrew... first you say you are a noob, then you think you seem to know how PL works and complain about it..it does not make sense.

What a waste,
PL has 5 modes, Wii GC Nand Emulators and homebrew,
It's a universal wii forwarder and was the first to add neek2o support in general hence can be used as a system menu replacement in both real and emulated nand enviromnent.
Let alone the fact that its extremely stable and configurable and has a close to 100% compatibility
You need a lot of time to appreciate this application, you're a noob you don't know s**t
