That's why one should always use 64kb when possible, even when forced to use FAT16. The same goes with sneek. You can get amazing speed with 64kb.
That was my operating principle, but gave the sdcard.org tool a shot after seeing that Fix94 had had good results using it. It did not work well for me. 64kb is where it's at for me. I hope I can get a hold of another brand card to test. I'm wondering if I shot myself in the foot for going cheap. That's why one should always use 64kb when possible, even when forced to use FAT16. They don't show significant size difference in the SD card vs. the hard drive for me. The sizes shown in the compatibility wiki are a pretty accurate representation of what I see in the SD card (FAT32, 64kb).i had an idea for the wiki. i'm wondering if we should add MB or GB sizes to the games on the sd card. i would like to know how this would happen and if it is possbile?

Example with Eternal Darkness (size on disk, uncompressed):
On PC's hard drive: 1.35 GB (1,460,105,216 bytes)
On SD card: 1.35 GB (1,460,273,152 bytes)
F-Zero GX (size on disk, compressed):
On PC's hard drive: 1.33 GB (1,435,860,992 bytes)
On SD card: 1.33 GB (1,436,024,832 bytes)
Minor differences, overall.
God damn you guys......not even the mexican "novelas" have this much drama, stop feedeing the flamers/flames and /or attemps of anything similar, better if you remember when the sole idea of having GC games launched by anuthing else besides disc was laughable by all the people dedicated to criticize whoever mentioned, but have never written a single line of code (I include myself on the last part), please just post and comment about issues, fixes and function related DML, everything else will have inmediate consecuences...!!
x2If I've used an old version of DiscEx to compress/patch my NGC Games would I be able to do it again or would I need to dump them again? (Even though, I originally got The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Star Fox Assault on-line via a trusted source. My other games are genuine original retail games)
If your card is third party, the easiest way is with GCMM (look it up in wiibrew). If it is an official Nintendo card, Swiss can handle those perfectly, although the process of backing up saves is not very intuitive. Some games have protected saves, like F-Zero GX. I believe you can restore backed up saves for this game but only if you don't reformat your memory card.Hey guys,
I used to play and save GC games on my GC-Memory card and having the option to use NMM now I wanted to copy those saves from the MC to SD:\saves
Is there a way to do so?
Thanks in advance

Thanks themanual I used GCMM and it seems I have a third party. I backed up all saves to sd.If your card is third party, the easiest way is with GCMM (look it up in wiibrew). Good luck and let me know if are trying to use Swiss and need help. It is a bit weird the way that feature works.
That's good because third party cards are so easy to work with. The saves will be in the root of your sd card, in a folder named saves or gcmm (I don't recall). Just sort your view by date modified and it should be the last or first one on the list. Thanks themanual I used GCMM and it seems I have a third party. Now what? Where are these saves located and how to use them with nmm?
Are the bin files clearly a different format or just the extension?Found'em in "SD:\MCBACKUP" folder but the format is weird *.gci!!!
NMM uses small files with *.bin extension.
I think a converter is needed now.
Anyone?
I think Dolphin had such tool. I'll try it and post what happens. It uses raw files and convert to gci, didn't help
