Just gave Kirby a test on r50 and I'm happy to say that it works fine. There's a bit of lag when starting a round, but it plays smoothly from there onward. I can officially do everything I've wanted to do gamecube wise since my wii's disc drive died now, so I thank you guys so much for putting together this amazing project.
I'll still be keeping tabs on the upcoming revisions and such nonetheless, but so far everything is pretty much perfect from my standpoint. Great work guys.

Edit: Guess I spoke too soon, only the first part of City Trial seems to work for me. The second part where you compete in a minigame just stalls at the PRESS A screen. Only tested with Drag Race though, I'll do more thorough testing with it when I get the chance.

yea, you have to have the game uncompressed. doing so will fix any hangs/crashes the game has. ive tested every level several times, it works great.

edit: btw, how do you use DML with a broke drive. doesnt it need to read a disc in the drive in order to run?
It doesn't read the disc (except with Neogamma)
Here's what I do:
Turn your Wii on with a disc already inserted, boot a loader then load the .iso and it will most likely work.

Isn't that what makes NeoGamma?
I didn't know the other loaders no longer need the disc for boot the iso.

No, they all need a disc, what I meant was if you boot a game with say Wiiflow then it won't reset the drive unlike Neogamma does and when Neogamma realizes that the drive can't read the disc it will give an error and won't boot the game whereas Wiiflow or Postloader skip this part.

I use PostLoader to transfer games from USB to SD, then USB Loader Gx to play them just cause it's my loader of choice. Didn't know Kirby needed to be uncompressed, thanks for the info. I'll be sure to fix it up and give it a try myself tomorrow when I get the chance.
And about my drive, I just keep an old DVD in it so that it doesn't crash from a corrupt banner when I'm on the system menu. Neogamma is the only loader that needs to actually read from a disc, so I had it out of the picture for awhile now.

So, no doubt some of you would like our take on Devolution, and what it means to the future of DIOS MIOS. I can't blame you for wondering. The intentions are quite clear to both crediar and I.. shots were certainly fired. It didn't completely take us by surprise either. Truth is, I've been following a snake in the grass for about a month now.

Well to be quite honest with you, it changes absolutely nothing. With your help, DML will continue to improve. We have a myriad of features and enhancements laid out in front of us that are just begging to be worked on. We've recently added a feature that greatly benefits all of you loader users for example, and today crediar fixed a bug in discex so that every game should work compressed. It's always possible we even stumble onto a surprise or two. He might figure out USB loading tomorrow for all we know.

Anyway despite tueidj's intentions, we do wish him the best. We will continue to move forward as well.
Additional thanks go out to the handful of you who donated today. It'd be nice if there were more requests though, so we know what to focus on.

Wtf do you mean "his intentions are quite clear"? You are acting like this is an attempt to sabotage DIOS MIOS Lite. He is doing this both for himself and for others. That's what homebrew is about. It's not related to DML.

Edit: And LOL at "snake in the grass".

Oh? It's mentioned right there in the first sentence of that thread. You know, the one where it says it's the reason he decided to even make the thread... two months early. It's hype. I didn't expect you to see it though Joostin.

If I've used an old version of DiscEx to compress/patch my NGC Games would I be able to do it again or would I need to dump them again? (Even though, I originally got The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Star Fox Assault on-line via a trusted source. My other games are genuine original retail games)

I only started working on Devolution three weeks ago and there has been zero interaction between myself and anyone working on DML (unless you count crediar's post in the Devolution thread, in which he didn't sound upset at all). Feel free to carry on your solo drama though... it doesn't seem like you have anything else to do with the project, like committing code.

Yet another clue that SanGor is one of crediar's aliases... I don't understand why crediar\SanGor keeps denying it... I'm so gullible and trusting I actually believed it for awhile too, lol.

Why should crediar use an alias here when he is using his real nick on any other forum he is registered at (assembler games, wiird, rvlution, gc-forever, ownedcore etc.)? Doesn't make sense to me.
