After I updated to 4.3, Homebrew channel and the other things were gone, and for a while, it didn't really bother me, but now, I got a sudden urge to mod it again.
Since I have 4.3E, I can use Lego Indiana Jones or Yugioh 5D's. Yugioh doesn't really appeal to me, so that's out of the question.
So the only option left is Lego Indiana Jones. Where I live, we can't rent video games.
Is it worth getting? I've played Lego Harry Potter on my DS, and even though I love Harry Potter, I really didn't like the game, since you had to destroy pretty much everything in order to get studs, and that felt really tedious.
Are these to games similar at all?

EDIT: lol a typo in the title

There ar probably more games usable for hacking the Wii....
Those are just the games they worked to use for hacking.

There was bannerbomb, you didn't have to own a single game.
For hacking your Wii alone, I would say the game is worth the money. Wheter you play it or not!

But it's really hard to get the game now.

Same reason why Twilight Princess was used before that... They are simply (fairly) popular games with exploits available to them.

Smash brothers is especially a good game because smashstack exploits an SD loading bug and thus can't be patched by system menu updates. As long as they don't block SD card access via an updated IOS (which they won't risk pissing off a lot of customers to do) it won't ever be patched.

There are probably many other games that have potential exploits... just about any game that saves data has the potential for an exploit... but as long as the current games aren't patched it's unlikely more will be released anytime soon.

I can get the game used for around $21 (140kr) on the internet, but my dad doesn't want to me to buy used stuff on internet ;_;
Is there any chance that Wii 4.4 will block Lego Indiana Jones hacking? I don't feel like buying a game I don't REALLY want just to find out that it won't work a few months later. Or is there a way to update safely?
New games will probably require an update.

After you've hacked your wii, you can "safely" update in most cases. As long as you don't update the moment it comes out it shouldn't be an issue.

Its entirely possible to update required files without actually updating the System Menu. I'm still on 4.2U, but I have all the latest versions of official IOS files and an updated shop channel. (Not to mention the lastest cIOS for 249.) For IOS files, I usually use an installer made specifically for it, but for the shop channel I just use Dop-Mii (v12). I know its an old version, but I just haven't gotten around to updating since it went "legal."

So if you're worried about keeping up to date after hacking, don't worry about it. There are plenty of resources here that work around the official updates, friendly people to guide you through it (just ignore those who aren't so nice, lol), and lots of great stuff to enjoy after you hack. There really isn't a reason to NOT hack a Wii anymore, especially on GBATemp.

I actually like Lego Indiana Jones. I haven't played much of Harry Potter, but yeah it's very similar where you can break everything in sight to get studs. Definitely a collecting, puzzle-solving type game. I didn't like it much at first, I think I only got it for a friend's kid, but I really got into it later on.
$21 doesn't seem too bad.

And yeah, once you mod again don't do any official updates...use priiloader to block disc and online updates. You can manually update if you need to.

If you feel like going down the Hardware modification road, I highly recommend the WODE. Even without a software hack, you can play backups from a hard drive! Very easy to use and install. And truthfully, if you got the WODE first, you could just use a backup of Lego Indiana Jones to do the software hacking. The WODE "tricks" the Wii into thinking the image being read is an actual disc. They are a bit pricey, but worth it in the long run. And once you do have a software hack installed, the WODE has its own channel-based menu you can install, and even its own version of WiiFlow! Also plays Gamecube backups, which software hacking alone can't do easily (if at all).

But no matter which way you go, the sheer amount of Homebrew alone for the Wii is reason enough to get Lego Indy, even if you never play it.

Err... software hacking can play GCN backups and do so very easily... You just install a custom MIOS, pick a loader, then put a burned copy into the wii... absolutely nothing hard about that.
