About ten years ago, I wouldn't have said no. Why did I change my mind? Because now that's all there is to it. And in hindsight, Mufasa is a more mythological character. And I'm tired of 3D animation.

Took the kids to watch it today. I have to say I'm impressed with the graphics, everything looks amazing, and they managed to avoid the creepy uncanny valley with most of the characters... except Rafiki, that mofo creepy as fuuuuck.

Other than that, well... it's definitely a movie. Yep. Has characters and everything. Definitely one of the movies of all time. Yup.

If it wasn't the Lion King prequel, if it was just about a bunch of random lions, I would even go as far as to call it not bad. As a Lion King prequel it doesn't fit or make sense. In my opinion.

But it's not as terrible as I feared.
