Hey guys. I've been having this problem with my PS3 Super Slim since last week. It randomly goes to a black screen and sometimes loses the HDMI signal for no apparent reason. It can happen every 20 minutes, or every couple of hours, but whenever it does, the image fades out for a few seconds before coming back. Sometimes it shows "noise" for a second.

This only happens on HDMI. I've already tested it for hours using an AV cable and didn't have any issues. I don't have a component cable, so not sure if that also has problems.

It's not the HDMI cable, I tried three different ones. It's not the TV, since I reseted it and tested the console on another one. I don't think the port is dirty, as I cleaned it with isopropyl. I also tried a different power cable, but no clue.

One thing I did notice is that the back of the console gets hot. Not sure how "normally hot" it should be, since I didn't own a PS3 back in the day (this is an used console I bought like 4 years ago). The strange thing is that I've been using this console regularly for years, and this problem only started recently.

Could this be a deeper hardware issue, such as the HDMI port or something on the motherboard? I'm suspecting maybe the heat did something inside, but if that were the case, then the AV port should have problems too, but who knows.

Here's a video:
