I noticed a few errors after downloading but I can't see any problems in the log or with the files. What am I missing?

EDIT: I think it's related to doing a download when files exist in the COPY_TO_SD folder. Is this normal?

if the files already exist, they are skipped, and thus not checked

to check all the files that u have (that NUSAD is capable of downloading), enter "A" while in the download log page, note that this wont check for missing files

if after u run the check all feature, and any files show up as red w/ MD5 mismatch, delete those files, and redownload them

edit: it would help if u said what errors u noticed

Can anyone confirm successfully using the autoupdate feature of an older version to update to v4.1.3? I haven't been able to confirm it personally because an older update file is still in my cache memory (or w/e, I'm probably using the wrong word). It should be working fine now, but confirmation would be nice

If not, I should be able to check it myself once the older update file is cleared from my PCs memory (however long that takes).

edit: on a side note, i'd like to thank everyone for their support. NUSAD has certainly gained momentum/popularity in the past few days. In 24 hours since I released v4.1.3, its been downloaded 1000 times (not including mirrors that I'm sure have popped up by now). So thanks to everyone for their continued support. And don't forget to vote in this threads poll if u haven't already!

You should use the credits as a seed to generate the key.bin file.

I tried downloading the "Fix the upside down HBC" option. The screen at the end tells me there are two errors in red. When I choose "A" to verify the files, everything turns up okay.

BTW, you may want to think about using SHA1 instead of MD5. MD5 could theoretically be compromised by Nintendo or a third party. It's probably not that big of a risk, but why not upgrade?

@hdhacker, u found a bug causing the hash check of that one file of to fail in that one scenario. I've already fixed it, and it will be incorporated into the next update (but I'll probably make a couple more changes before releasing v4.1.4). So thanks a lot for reporting it!!

DeadlyFoez and I had a discussion yesterday. and we brainstormed a couple of ideas to add to NUSAD... some may take awhile to get up and running, but others I hope to have ready for v4.1.4 which I hope to release before going on vacation (for 3 weeks) starting next Friday (so I won't be very active on the forums for awhile!)

NUS Auto Downloader
Version 4.1.4 RELEASED
NUSAD 4.1.4 Changlog

Added an optional "Extra Brick Protection" feature which will protect Wii's from accidentally changing to a system menu without having the IOS for that system menu already installed. NUSAD can grab many non-stubbed SM IOSs for the following system menu IOS slots (11,20,30,40,50,52,60). For system menu IOSs slots below 40, IOS60v6174-patched is installed in order to protect LU64+ wii's from using older incompatible IOSs. All of these IOSs have a version number that is equal to the Stub's version number plus 1 (so they will survive an official update). The normal IOS30-patched is still available for download in the batch download page.
Fixed IOS70v54321(IOS60v6174-patched).wad for Korean Wii's, it used to download IOS70 instead of IOS60v6174, but now it grabs the right IOS.
Removed option to patch system menu IOSs. Now they are always patched when using the wizard function. Non-patched IOS30, 60 and 70 are now instead available for download in the "Archived Downloads" page.
Proper handing of stub IOSs in the Download Wizard. Now it will only download stub IOSs that should be present on your wii's specific firmware and region (ie. If I am installing SM4.1, it will not download any of the stubs that were released with v4.2). Stub IOSs for slots 200 and up will not be downloaded if your wii is either a virgin or you've selected to download recommended cIOSs. Stubbed System Menu IOSs will not be downloaded if you answered Yes to "Extra Brick Protection".
Fixed Hash check when MMM's boot.dol is saved to the root of the Drive (ie. "COPY_TO_SD"). This only affected the HackMii Solutions Feature and the Download Wizard but only for Korean Virgin Wii's (or any Korean Wii installing the HBC).
Some other minor changes.

So how would I go about getting a 4.2K to a 4.2U and if I were to use NUS Auto would it be safe to update assuming I used the region changed option? What are the differences with a Korean region changed Wii?

The app is 95% complete (except for keeping up with cIOS and ninty updates), just a couple more features to add which I think will be a big hit

You are best off with FIRST with doing a nand backup. Then you can run Any Region Changer and going to 4.1u. Next use XFlaks app to download the patched IOS 70 by going to "Batch" (type "B" at the main menu") and then type "70K". You will need to install that file on your wii first before going up to 4.2u

I can't stress enough to make sure you do a nand backup first before region changing a wii...especially a korean wii.

P.S. someone else might have a better way of doing it.

My Korean wii is already region changed from Korea to 4.0U. But now i'm planning to change it from 4.0U to 4.2U using NUS Auto Downloader v4.1.4. Can i use this program safely or is this upgrade will surely brick my wii even if use NUS Auto Downloader v4.1.4?

Wow, finally i did it. Made it to 4.2U using NUS Auto Downloader from Korean RC 4.0U.

I'm using the wizard, answered the question provided, downloaded about 110MB. Checked and re-checked, just to make sure there are no files missing (actually there are some files missing with no reports, luckily i rechecked the list in the NUS autoguide.txt). Then, i installed the IOS70v54321 before upgrading to 4.2U.

Very nice apps. Very recommended.

Ok have a problem. Have a older Wii here with a WiiKey installed. I haven't touched this Wii for a long time.
It had a hybrid mod on it.
I ran though the NUS and selected all the right things but as soon as I try to bannerbomb it will freeze the console

Any ideas??

when u copied the files to your sd card, if the card already had a private folder with other channels saved onto it, it will have problems loading

so make sure the card is 'fresh' and try again
