My game continues to crash when anything regarding the pokegear transpires. It happens when I go to the icon in the menu and when I receive calls.
I'm running it on no$gba 2.6a, and I have the no$zoomer. What could be the problem? I did everything that was instructed in the first post...
Use a clean rom and the No$gba AP bypass code that's been around awhile now.

The rom was clean and I already had the AP code put in.

If you followed the instructions in the first post like you said, your rom wouldn't be clean.

Bought Soul Silver. Not going to spend money on HG.
Regardless, I realized the little path from Violet City to Azalea Town always seem to glitch in some way or another. I managed to get pass the little connection booth thing, but all of a sudden it seems like there is an invisible wall in front of me, I can't walk by. Then the game freezes.
I'll try YSMenu tonight. Just noting out the problems I have so far.

EDIT: Okay it seems turning the game off and turning it back on fixes things.

So, does this work on M3 Sakura? And does it work fully, or does it still extend the event count before freezing?

I've played it for 40+ hours without a single freeze.

thanks for this, works fine so far.
one question though - any idea why soft resetting doesn't work? I don't suppose that's the patch's doing? I keep getting a white screen after doing so (as in pressing L+R+select+start).
is anyone else having this problem? :/ (using original R4, YSmenu btw)

Err.. I can't soft-reset for any game and I have an M3DSS (well basically an R4). R4s just cant soft-reset using YSMenu. Nothing to do with the patch, lol

that's weird, because I have no problem SRing in my Diamond, and it's on the same cart as my HG... so I guess it is the patch's doing... :/

I have a question.

How do I patch it? I drag de HeartGold USA version to Patch.exe. I wait for a moment, and then it says 'patch done'. Then what do I do next? Do I have to rename the .bak file to .nds? And is that the patched one? Because when I play the original .nds file after patching, it freezes right after I made a character.
I have a R4 SDHC.

Please help. (:

Nice post in the ROM hacking site. it's OT and completely pointless.
Also: aware of the slight irony of my post but it annoys me when people post crap like this.

When you guys say the game freezes after xx events, what do you mean by the events? I've played through the game already (retail cart) but I have no clue what everyone's talking about.
