I'd recommend updating your cIOS 249 to rev 14 right off the bat.
you've updated over 200 revisions in GX so I'd also recommend deleting your config folder from your SD card and then setting your options fresh.
AltDols are no longer necessary on the SD card. Check the ReadMii (linked to in my sig) for more info but the loader will automatically load the correct dol for you from the iso on your harddrive when you turn on AltDol now

WOW, I missed that, I did see where the vote was going on about the new name for it though. Perhaps it should be named "AUTO-DOL" now.

I cant get Guitar Hero 5, PAL, working. Got the Waninkoko firmware updater 4.1, cIOS 38 rev14 and USB Loader GX rev728.
I just get a black screen when I booting the game, all other games Ive tried is OK. The game runs fine from disc, but not from my HDD.
How do I solve this?

0ld8oy I can replicate both the Black screen when cheats are enabled and also the code dump when NTSC video is forced. I can tell you this happened while I was at system software 3.2U and 4.1U. I'm now back to 3.2U. I have CIOS rev 14 installed and also IOS 222 and 223, however I also tried CIOS 13b and I got the same problem. I can run any homebrew app without any problems and Configurable USB Loader works fine with cheats with IOSes 249 and 222 and 223. Also GeckoOS works fine with cheats.

What info do you need to know about my Wii to see if we can get to the bottom of this? I can replicate the issue every time. I can post screenshots of the code dumps if you think this will help.

my brother had the exact same problem after updating from 528 to 729 with MOH Heroes 2, solution was to delete the config files and then all worked fine

Does de Blob work with this loader?

If so what settings and IOS are you using?

I'm getting a message saying "Loading......" when launching the game and that's it. Nothing happens after that. Using IOS 222. IOS 249 and 223 just gave me a black screen. Using rev 729 now. So far it only seems to happen with de Blob.

Also I may have found a fix for the code dump or black screen issue when enabling cheats.

Besides deleting the config folder this time I tried something different.

1) I backed up everything on the SD Card
2) Formatted the card with FAT file system, it was FAT32 before
3) I copied everything back on the SD card but I just created an empty codes folder and also a empty txtcodes folder
4) Then I went to the Loader options and updated USB Loader GX dol (I use a channel forwarder)
5) I updated the language file as well
6) I also updated WiiTDB Files as well (Whatever this is)
7) Then I hit Default Settings
8) I set my global Game Load options like this

Video Mode = Disc default
VIDTV Patch = Off
Game Language = Console Default
Patch Country String = Off
Ocarina = Off
Boot/Standard = cIOS 222
QuickBoot = No
Error 002 Fix = Anti

Then if I want to use cheats. I turn on Ocarina in the game's menu and then go to the Ocarina menu and download the cheat file, turn on the cheats I want and hit create GCT. Then save those settings for that game.

So far it works and no code dump. Using Rev 729. But we'll see if it stays like that beacuse at one point I had codes working and then the next day it was just a black screen and then the code dumps when i would force NTSC as Video Mode. However de Blob doesn't load mmmmmm. I wonder if it's just Rev 729.

Longtime lurker, first post, so I'd like to kick it off by saying fantastic app!

One question: any chance we can get the voodoo that uLoader 3.0 uses to make USB instruments (inc. multiple items via USB hub) work in GX? We had 3 mics, RB1 drums and a GH guitar all working at once with the Beatles...but I had to use uloader to do it.

uLoader is effective....but kinda fugly. And GX with a theme is just so durned pretty!

Thoughts?

Pretty sure said voodoo is already supported. Try loading the game with IOS222 or IOS223. Doesn't matter which one as long as it's made from IOS38 merged with IOS37.

Did you put a DVD in the drive when playing De Blob? Works great with 249 on 4.1E, but needs a DVD in the drive!! (Any will do)

Ocarina seems to work for me, but only if I download the cheat txt file from within the loader. If I us my pc to download and create the gct file and then transfer it to my sd card, then ocarina crashes.
