My friend has a ds and lets say its banner bricked.

Remember when you first turned on a new ds. The setup screen appears right. You enter in your tidbits and viola you get to the ds start menu. But this ds is different. It used to work but It always boots to the setup screen. You take out the battery and it still boots to setup. After it "saves" your settings and turns off it boots to the same setup screen. Get the idea. Its kinda like a banner brick.

Things i have tried

Taking out battery
Holding select+start
Attempting to boot to r4 menu.

And im about to open it up and disconnect the motherboard.

I will post video later.

PLEASE HELP

To me, it sounds like an internal battery (not the battery pack) has died. My advice would be to replace it yourself or to call in to Nintendo and see if they will repair it.

The DSPhat and DSLite don't have an internal battery other than the big one that you can take out...

The battery itself needs replaced. DealExtreme is your best bet...

Just a warning, don't be like you were to me on NP.

Because I was here wayyyy longer than you.

And I don't want you screwing with me and making me quit this forum.

Ugh, this just ruined my night.

You say you want to put the past behind us, but yet you still call me "a racist"?

Hm.

But sounds like you got a faulty DS and/or battery.

Try a new battery?

Should be a battery problem. You get the same problem if your battery is replaced.

Also guys, no need to chat about disputes on other forums etc, any such posts will be moderated from now on. Thanks!
