Sorry, that was on me.

So... how about those Ukraine missiles? Did they fire anymore at Poland and try to blame Russia?
Talking about blaming stuff on Russia, I see Ukraine are planning another false flag operation:
On Sunday, Russia's defence ministry said Kyiv planned to detonate three medical buildings - dispensaries and a hospital - and "accuse Russia of an allegedly 'deliberate attack' on civilian objects".

"The bombing of the medical institutions will be presented as another 'atrocity' of Russian troops, requiring a response from the world community and accelerating the supply of long-range missiles to Kyiv (to be used) for strikes on Russian territory," the defence ministry said.

There was no immediate response from Kyiv to the claims.

Also I hear Ukraine have been using chemical weapons on Russian soldiers, the MSM is quiet about this though. Mind you being as the propoganda war is in full swing, you can take whatever you hear from both sides with a pinch of salt.

I did see a video purported to be chemical weapons in the hands of the Ukraine army, but I couldn't verify it so I'm not going to share it until I see more.

I believe its only fair and should of been allowed long ago. Russia is using Iranian and North Korean missiles/ drones to strike far inside Ukraine, and now even using North Korean troops to fight along with Russia. Ukraine should also now be allowed to have troops from other countries to join and fight with them. Russia can cry and whine all they want, what's fair is fair.

Shouldn't de-escalation always be the priority? It sounds like you're almost revelling in the extra carnage this is going to cause. As a British lefty, I'm confused how American lefties are so right-wing sounding when it comes to war.

Yes but since Putin does not want to de-escalate, like attacking couple days ago with the biggest attack of missiles and drones yet, mostly pointed towards energy facilities not military, then atleast let Ukraine defend in a fair manner.

I get it, I just hope it doesn't make things worse. I don't really trust Putin not to use his red button over things like this.

There's a lot of pro-Ukrainian sentiment here in the States, particularly among left-leaning circles. Russia is continually portrayed as a bully against Ukraine which riles up war-hawk sentiment (the U.S. has many military resources; why not help the little guy?). This is easy for politicians to use as talking points and many progressive politicians have caught on to this, culminating in Biden and Harris' explicit commitment to providing Ukraine with American resources.
Right-wingers, at least in my observation, seem to have adopted a live and let live philosophy about this war, especially since a big talking point for Trump has been cutting aid to foreign wars. It's unusual, perhaps, but both sides picked their teams and there probably won't be any changing that.

We are likely very far away from full-scale conflict, even now. It's easy to panic when viewing tense moments like these in a bubble. Both sides--Russia and the States--are testing the waters, so to speak.

*yawn*

If Putin doesn't pull out of Ukraine and pay reparations, then I think Ukraine should launch an all out attack.

We should join them.

Fuck Russia

Fuck him. He'll do what he wants. He's relying on people being scared of him.

Don't be scared, push back.

Well, except for giving Israel all the aid, money, and bombs they need to keep their war going. But Trump talking out of both sides of his mouth at once, and his supporters hearing only what they want to hear, is nothing new.

I'm bumping this thread as Biden has now authorised Ukraine to use the long range missiles against Russia..

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/11/17/...s-ukraine-missiles-russian-targets/index.html

Anyone else a bit concerned by this? Is his tactic to make sure WWIII starts at the beginning of Trump's term? Nice welcome gift. Couldn't he just left a log in the shitter like a normal person?
Small correction: Biden has allowed Ukraine to use long missiles since last April (well...February, but the things didn't arrive until april). The current news is about using them to strike within Russia.

It might be a nuance, but the fact that they're been in use for half a year isn't really the concern. The fact that Ukraine is pushing back to within Russian borders is (note: it's not just with any sorts of missiles).

Also: it has little to do with the changing of power. Like...both Trump and Harris knew whomever would be president was going to have to deal with the war regardless, and they wanted the job anyway. It's a nasty thing regardless, and I'm sure that everything's going to be done to avoid further escalation(1).

(1): yeah, ok: I don't trust Trump's "I'll have it fixed in one day :D " mystery solution for one second. But I'd gladly be wrong about that.

Oh no, what if firing missiles into Russia escalates things? It would be the perfect excuse for Russia to start firing missiles into Ukraine!

oh
Oh no, Russia has been firing missiles at Ukraine for two years already!

oh

If his "fixed in a day" plan is for Ukraine to give up, then I'd launch nukes at Russia and America

Fuck all the fucktards.
