Yea religion does not belong in public schools. Send your kids to private religious schools if that is what you want teached to them, don't force it on the masses. Church and State should be kept separate.

I definitely agree. A child hasn't been fully developed yet; they are unaware of the world and society around them. Forcing religions onto them should be considered a crime, unless if it's a private religious school if you want your child to live a christian life for example, that is, I guess fine.

Maybe, but that doesn't change the fact that he has zero convictions. He was charged, and appealed the case, which now is thrown out. And we know that in modern society, you are innocent until proven guilty.

Courts make mistakes, that's why in the civilized world there are appaels. If the appael is succesful (you win the case or they dismiss the case), the convictions go away. Seeing how they are now dropping the case, all those convictions go away too. So no, Trump is not a convict by the letter of the law. Majority of the US luckily saw those cases were no more than a an attempt so slander him.

The EJ Carroll case was also appaeled, twice at it seems. Once the judge orded about 80 million dollars to be paid, the second one saw it was over the top, and reduced it to just 5. The appael on that is pending, and will most likely also be thrown out.

And why the interest in US politics? Because it sets the tone for the rest of the civilized world. Good or bad, it comes to us too. So yes, we all should have a huge interest in it.

There were some hectic moments on here, having to reply to a few people at once, so there were parts I skimmed over. We could discuss Belgian politics, should you like, but it's as you said yourself, it doesn't really make a big impact on the rest of the world. We had elections, most people voted right wing, yet we get mostly a left winged government. It's how things work here, though there has been some cracks, and for the first time in history the "extreme" right will govern in two or three cities. It was three, but there were dead threats made to other parties, so they backed out, yet now they might be back in... It's useless drama really, not that interesting on a global scale.
