'Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake' gets launch trailer
Launching today is Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. This entry to the Dragon Quest franchise is chronologically the first in the “Erdrick Trilogy" and has been remade for new systems in Square Enix's unique HD-2D style. Accompanying the launch is a new trailer:
Features of this remake are as follows:
- New aesthetics: HD-2D style that blends 3D backgrounds with classic 2D pixel sprites. This remake also features more detailed lighting and shading effects.
- Gameplay enhancements and quality-of-life improvements: full English and Japanese voice acting, auto-saves. The turn-based combat system features new animations, adjustable battle speeds, an auto-battle setting, and more.
- Soundtrack composed by Koichi Sugiyama and performed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony.
