Internet Archive is now back online in a provisional read-only manner

After almost 2 full weeks since the Internet Archive suffered a security breach that caused the data of more than 31 million users to be leaked online, the Internet Archive has reopened today just a few minutes ago.

Previously archived files, data, audio, videos, movies, etc. that were added to the Archive are now back online and can be accessed once again, although it seems that currently all logins are locked with the message "We're sorry. Login is not allowed at this time." appearing upon trying to enter the email and password to enter with an account, meaning that new uploads are currently not possible until further notice.

As of the moment of writing there hasn't been any official announcements about the site being back online in the Internet Archive's X profile nor in the Archive's own blog, so new information about the restored accessibility to archived data, what the limitations are for this new change and when users might be able to log back in is unknown at the moment.

UPDATE:
It has been confirmed that the Internet Archive is now restored in a provisional read-only manner. Logins are currently not available until further notice:

I almost wish they'd get rid of them. They're HTTP seeded too so not too useful
Idk if getting rid of them would acomplish anything. There's been at least one instance of them being faster than a regular download from the site.

Aaaaaaannndddddddddddd it's down again.
Guess it didn't last due to people scrapping the site to oblivion as soon as it was available again.

All in favor of making Sony and Nintendo liable for losses and damages? Like this post.

Dont care if they say they werent involved. Their brain damage is absolutely involved in this attempted sabotage and the clowns at their legal departments need to be made to answer for their sins.

Still offline! Among all the hackers, programmers, coders, nerds or whatever lazily wandering around here, isn't there some kind soul who can give them a hand to make that damn site more secure? View attachment 466543
Well you can give them the most secure infrastructure, if they don't have the practices that should accompany such, that wouldn't help that much

Pretty much this. Given the video you shared before noting how the hacker(s) STILL had access to stuff related to Internet Archive after it came back up, I would not be surprised if many of the people managing IA either didn't take or failed their data security courses. Either way, paints a very bad picture for the group, especially when they're already under pressure with all of the lawsuits from book publishers and such.

Yep it's back again, and it seems like at least it lasted around 10+ hours already.
However, logins are still not permitted at the moment, so we still can't upload anything new for the time being.
