This guy is a massive sock puppet running this country, surely the government would be fine without him.

A quote from the news article above:
Code:
Rishi Sunak has said he has not considered resigning as prime
minister before polling day, despite facing a backlash for leaving D-Day
commemorations early.

The prime minister apologised on Friday for not attending the full event
to mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings the previous day.

The decision was criticised by opposition parties, as well as some
Conservatives, with Cabinet minister Penny Mordaunt saying it was
"completely wrong" and Mr Sunak had "rightly apologised".

Mr Sunak said there was "enormous support" for Conservative policies
adding: "I'm not going to stop fighting for people's votes."

I think by now we can all establish that if Sunak says he will NOT do something the opposite is likely to happen. Even so, I think he's more likely to be ousted by his party as a last minute shock.

Of course he won't give up power willingly, but I do think the pendulum is starting to swing back in the opposite direction as far as public opinion in the UK goes. Conservatives have been fleecing the country for a LONG time now, most would say too long.

I just hope it isn't too late for the NHS. It feels like an impossible task to turn it around now sadly.
The NHS and healthcare is a total nightmare. They should start by speeding up waiting times instead of paying money for private.

Understatement.

The UK really isn't having much luck with PMs lately

yes and no. unlike the USA, we have parties in charge in a parliament system. so if a party changes its leader but still has most of the seats. then it's still in charge.

so the last two were not elected by the people but within the party. saying all that. they all fucking shit since Gordon brown.

It would be difficult to engineer, especially with only 2 weeks to go, as parliament doesn't sit while there's an election campaign... So there's no real mechanism to remove him so first you need to get the entire party to get behind a single replacement candidate (good luck with that!), and then they need to all agree on a mechanism to replace him.

Not going to happen.
