Hi! I have been hoping for something like this for a long time, so this is really exciting! I am curious, is there a way for me to remap things myself?
Generally, no. But you can additionally remap/unmap some things with
the remapper. And
there is a version of the mod with more "remappable" actions.
Also, is there a way to get these cheats to work on a DS emulator on the steam deck? This would be way nicer than trying to brute force a solution in the steamOS button input editor.
No. Everything in this thread is strictly 3DS specific.
First of all I will like to thanks for this amazing patch!
I'm having issue with dragon ball origin 1, does the cheat code allow you to punch and kick using the abcd buttons instead of the touch screen or what does it do? I was able to make other cheat work but with this game in particular I can't.
It simply gives you 360 degrees movement. Everything else is still done via the touchscreen. Yes, it's only half useful, but I mostly do just the circle pad part, without remapping other actions which would be considerably harder
hellooo, it's me again XD Are you still doing requests? Cuz I was wondering if you are able to do a dual analog hack for Tak the Great Juju Challenge. You can control the camera with the touchscreen so I was wondering if this was possible. Thanks if you can
Okay. I'll check this out if I have time
This might sound like a dumb question, but how do I add the Star Fox Cpad Inverted mod with the previous DS circle pad mods? When I try to add it to my extras folder, it asks if I want to overwrite the previous cheats folder, since it has the same file name. I'm not sure if it will erase those cheats and just have the Star Fox mod on.
Open the original "usrcheat.dat" file in R4CCE and copy/paste the cheat code there. If you've never used this program before, there must be dozens of tutorials on Youtube and other places
Is there anyway to merge 2 usrcheat.dat? I want to combine deadskullzjr's cheats with the mods from here.
There are already merged cheat databases, like
this one.
Also some time ago I had
a web app that allowed you to merge these things but I am not entirely sure if it still works.
Hey after patching both Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass with the dpad patch the option to use their circle pad code won't show up anymore. How do I fix this?
TwilightMenu determines which cheats to show and apply based on the rom's checksum. When you patch a rom, you change its internal structure and, accordingly, the checksum. To solve this problem, you need to open the cheat database file (usrcheat.dat) in R4CCE, find the game in the list and update its checksum. In R4CCE you can press the "..." button and point it to the location of the patched rom, then the program will populate the checksum field for you.
Just discovered this amazing hack. Loved the gyro/c-nub combo in Metroid Prime Hunters ,but is it possible to enable gyro in other FPS games like Goldeneye?
Glad that you liked it. I only did it for Metroid as a sort of proof of concept. While it's technically possible, I probably won't do it anymore as it's very time consuming and not exactly simple. Sorry
