I have a hacked switch that has been collecting dust. It now won't boot.

I have original backups of nand, keys, boot0 and boot1, everything and I can get it to boot.

-autoRCM is on
-joycon rails are unfixable (this has been used as a test bed for modchips and other things and I've destroyed the rail connectors)
-burnt fuses represent 4.0 firmware
-last firmware I used was 11.0 and I have backup of that

I can't get this to boot to save my life. RCM works fine (hekate etc.) I have a legit sxos license too.

I'm willing to pay someone to restore this thing to working order. I've tried manual choi flashes, restores to my first backup, I've tried everything.

I'm willing to pay someone to restore this. I'll ship it and pay for shipping.

Anyone wanna have a go?

I did that using choidejour for PC. No dice. Same result, CFW or OFW still tries to boot with a black screen.

Well I killed it. This thread can be closed. I did a nand restore and forgot to enable AutoRCM before shutting it down. Since the right joycon connector is destroyed on the main board I don't see a way to enter RCM.

No worries, I'll use this for parts now. I just hacked one of my other legit Switches with Atmosphere and Emunand. All is good.

You may be able to enter RCM mode and push a payload by using this method., While the switch is powered off, plug usb into Switch from PC, you should hear a ding on your PC letting you know it reconized. The Switch may power on at this point by itself into OFW, or you may be able to hold the Vol + button down while plugging in usb at same time to enter RCM mode, then push a payload. It works for some, and some will not. Good luck!

Edit: nevermind you still need to short the right rail to enter RCM.

Doesn't work if the connector on the main board is broken and that the unit isn't in autoRCM mode.

Not sure if OP rail connector inside is fudged, but replacing the rail does not seem too difficult. Parts are somewhat cheap.

I know you can get into RCM by removing the emmc board, but then you're booted with no emmc, so... probably not helpful. Don't know if you could make a cable with a switch on the v+ line to bring the emmc up after entering RCM (or just hot plug it, if you're at the hail Mary stage anyway), or if it just wouldn't be registered anyway by that point.

Have you exhausted the possibility of finding alternate points for the broken rail connector?

That's right, autoRCM works by blanking the BCTs on the EMMC doesn't it. What about connecting the emmc to a computer and doing the same?

Oh yeah you could totally enable autoRCM that way, one of those adapters to connect the emmc board to computer shouldn't cost too much.
Edit: as long as you can access the right partition? Might need some weird driver? I've read mention before but don't know the details.

True but at that point, may as well just order new rail and fix it right. I see Rail fix kits with tools for $25 on ebay.

Plus he only really needs hekate one time

One successful boot and enabling auto RCM would “revive” this switch!
Maybe so but I worked on it for days while in AutoRCM and I can't get it to boot after the payload is sent. I can see Atmosphere logo and then a black screen so really this would just put me back where I started. I was thinking I could get it back into RCM by shorting the pads to the joycon on the main board but then I don't what to do to revive this thing. I've flashed the original nand backup and boot 0 and boot 1 and it still wouldn't boot. I've flashed the backup I made of it before I starting trying to fix it and same thing. I've switched the sd card out and formated it back and forth between fat23 and exfat. No dice. I even manually rebuilt the nand using choidejoir for PC.
