Hey guys, i was just wondering.
Is Installing a Wii Wad on vWii almost fully ensured to end in a brick?
What about vWii Wad games ? Like World of Goo for example.
Legitimate WiiWare games, like World of Goo, are likely to work just fine on both the vWii and Wii. That has been my experience. Install them at your own risk.

As for wiiware from what I’ve seen in forums they work just fine as is but I’ve never tried

I think it would be fine as long as you were to check that the Wad was A) Official and B) that it was downloaded correctly, and not damaged or corrupt. I installed La Mulana to my vWii without issue, and was planning on doing more games once i found ones I wanted.

Nintendo's title (Wiiware and VC) are compatible with both Wii and vWii.
Homebrew title use a specific NAND loader for Wii, and another one for vWii. The .wad can be installed, but the channel will not work if you try to launch it. (it will not brick your console because of the wrong NAND loader)

If you have a homebrew made channel for Wii and you want to use it on vWii, you need to convert it.
There are already a LOT of converted channels you can use.
See here for existing converted channels to install on vWii, and also learn how to convert to vWii yourself :

Thanks for this quick and very informative reply ^_^
And thanks to everyone else ♡
Only IOSes are incompatible. Actual games are guaranteed to be compatible.
Oh okay ^_^ that was the thing that i've heard of being dangerous to install if not made for vWii

Thanks!

Even official devkit wads are compatible with both Wii and vWii. It seems only homebrew SDKs have this issue.
