Greetings! i have a problem regarding Save States on the Mame 2003 Plus core of Retroarch.
I've been playing Ninja Baseball Batman on it and wanted to use a Save State to come back later and keep the progress going, but what happens is that, when i load the save state, Retroarch just crashes and sends me back to the main Switch menu.

im i doing something wrong or is it a problem that has no solution for now?
Retroarch can get pretty crashy. Have you got the latest build?

My Switch has been fine for ages, about 4/5 weeks now.

Booted it up today to install MAS and copied it to my memory card, tried firing up tinfoil for a message to say update required, pressed A, was the only button I could and it said system restarting.

Did that now it goes through the atmosphere screen then just locks on a black screen :-/

Any ideas? I tried resmashing on terminal using fusee and the same issues. Was working flawlessly before, can't get past this screen even with the card out and holding down power for 15/20
How is the SD card formatted?

Sorry if there has been a ton of these questions but I'm trying to get MAS to work, when I boot it kicks me back out to the home screen. I updated atmosphere and my sig patches and that didn't solve anything. Do I need to update the Switch firmware to 10.2.0?
What on earth is MAS?

Sorry for all the "silly" questions but this is the last one : how can I delete all of the saves of the games that were copied from sysnand into emunand in one swoop , not by going game by game in settings is there a way for this ?
There is no way to mass delete save files/

HI guys! I'm back and recently I got an sd card for my main switch and i gave my old sd card to the switch that I'm able to hack. Currently I'm having a problem where I'm not able to boot the sx os screen back up when I place the license.dat file into the switch. I'm trying to figure out why. If this doesn't work at all I will just resort to using atmoshpere. Please let me know if someone know's how to fix this issue with sx os. P.S. I don't have a dongle, I use TegraRcmGUI.
Is the SD card formatted as exFAT?

What's the safest way to remove an emummc partion? I'm never going to take this thing online, and want it to just boot straight into the CFW without having to select an option in Hekate every time.
You can just setup autoboot in Hekate to avoid having to select an option in Hekate.

I got a sd card with a emummc on it if I want to restart and format my sd card can I just do that? and create a new emummc or do I need to take additional steps before??
Yes you can just format the card and start over.

Like I said, personally it is not worth it. Not only are you losing official features that the original model supported such as docking and detachable Joy-Cons, but not all hacks and homebrew work on the Lite. This doesn't even take into consideration the risks of soldering it which has its fair share of consequences should anything go awry. Lastly, the price of an unpatched Switch tablet without any Joy-Cons should be around the price of a Lite if not a little more expensive.

Thanks again for all your time. I think I'll hold off as I only have a Lite and only plan on ever having a Lite (for a while anyway). My main concern isn't bootlegging games so if Lite has limited homebrew options outside of that I'll just leave it stock and hope something easier/better happens in the future.

Take care!

Hello guys, what is the magic phrase to get to a post with the best way to update the firmware of an emunand partition? there isn't a sticky post nor a tutorial that does not date from 2018 that points you to the right direction. Every query I try with generic words points towards choixdujourNX never to Daybrake (without typing explicitly daybreak) It took me a while to remember the name. Other noobs will definitely have a hard time getting to the safest option.

BTW I assumed Daybrake is the best option since it has active development.

Daybreak is newer so the search engines may not pick up on it yet as most people have been using ChoiDujourNX for the past 2 years. That being said, ChoiDujourNX still works fine and has the advantage of not requiring the firmware files being named a specific way unlike Daybreak.

Hey,

I got a problem with my switch installing NSP files, and at this point I really don't know how to fix the problem or what im doing wrong.
I hope someone can help me with this and know how to fix my problem. To explain my story I will try to explain it in steps as detailed as possible.

To be clear im running OFW 10.2.0 and Atmosphere 0.14.4 on EmuMMC

1. I started fresh because of the problem stated above hoping it would solve the problem so the first thing I did is formatted my 128gb micro sd card to fat 32.

2. I downloaded atmosphere files and homebrew applications from sdsetup website which contains Atmosphere 0.14.4

3. I transferred all the sd files from sdsetup to the root of my sd card.

4. I put my switch into RCM mode and inject the hekate payload via my payload injector dongle

5. Of course I made a backup of my NAND first and transferred it to my computer.

6. After that I made a partition for the emummc and created a emummc inside the hekate payload/menu.

7. The making of the emummc is done so I boot atmosphere from the hekate menu into emummc mode of course

8. I go to album> homebres menu> goldleaf> sd card> switch> nsp> game.nsp. and try to install the nsp file.

9. I get a error message saying goldleaf can't install the nsp file due to sigpatches or a low version.

10. I search for sigpatches and found 2 threads in this forum which are the following:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-fusee-primary-only.567542/
https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-hekate-fss0-fusee-secondary-only.571543/

because I don't know very well which one I needed I just tried both of them on a separate try.

12. I download the files I copy and paste the files into the atmosphere folder (and bootload folder for the fusee secondary one) and replace any existing files.

13. I boot into atmosphere again through the hekate payload/menu.

14. I go to album> homebres menu> goldleaf> sd card> switch> nsp> game.nsp. and try to install the nsp file.

15. I still get the same error message saying it can install the nsp file due to sigpatches or low version.

I tried both sigpatches and did not get it to work. Im using goldleaf 0.8.
I really don't know what im doing wrong do anyone has any suggestions?

I recently updated to Atmosphere 14.4 and put the new sigpatches like I always do but now when I try to play the new game hades it freezes on switch logo at the beginning. Is it sigpatches or game or my switch? Im on 10.2 emummc. and yes i use fusee primary and every other game works fine.

I formatted it but no, it shows the same screen.
I asked how was the SD card formatted not if you formatted it.

The different patches are for how you boot Atmosphere whether its through Hekate or Fusee. And to make things more confusing, you can technically use Hekate to chainload into Fusee to boot into Atmosphere. Its not recommended to have both sets of patches on your SD card. Its also not really recommended to use Goldleaf anymore as its arguably the worst title installer. I recommend using Awoo Installer instead. What does your hekate_ipl.ini file look like or do you remember where you downloaded your setup from?

Hey thanks for your response. I don't have both sets of the patches on my SD card by the way. what I meant is that I tried the patches separately. so when the other one was not working I tried the second one by replacing the files in the atmosphere map. Both of these methods did not work.

I also tried to install my NSP with Awoo Installer but I get the same message. to be exact this is the error message im getting from it
"Failed to install super Mario bros.nsp
Partially installed contents can be removed from the system settings applet.
OpenFileSystemWithID:122:Failed to open file system with id:
@SdCardContent://registered/000000EA/062739eee3ab25e976ab02825f4dcf23.nca. Error code: 0x00234c02"

as for the goldleaf error im getting the following:
"An error occurred attempting to install NSP:
Error: 2002-4518 (0x234c02)
Module: File system (2)
Description: invalid NCA (might mean missing sigpatches or a too low firmware) (4518)"

I downloaded my setup from https://www.sdsetup.com/console?switch with the recommended defaults
and for the sigpatches I tried https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-hekate-fss0-fusee-secondary-only.571543/ and https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-fusee-primary-only.567542/

again I did them separately (not both on the same time)

hope this answers you questions?

Oh sorry, Mine was FAT32, until I saw that apparently exFAT works.
What do you mean exFAT works? exFAT is not recommended as it can corrupt your SD card.

Well if you downloaded from SDSetup which specifically gives you Hekate, I have no idea why you tried the fusee patches since nowhere does that setup give you fusee-primary so you can remove those patches if you have them saved. As for the Hekate patches, make sure they are installed properly. If they are installed properly, there should be a folder under the kips_patches named exefs_patches as well as a file called patches.ini in the bootloader folder.

Hi! I no longer have a problem with trying to load sx os! I followed this guide, https://team-xecuter.com/community/...ng-up-after-placing-license-dat.127652/page-2 The only thing is that stopping is that I don't know should I restore the NAND then get the cfw or get the emuNAND then install. Can someone let me know what's the best solution. Thank you!
What do you mean by trying to load SX OS? Loading the CFW or the menu? If you can load the CFW, that is fine but booting the SX OS menu means nothing since all fusee-gelee exploitable consoles can do that. And Hekate is a much better menu to boot than SX OS' menu.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to upgrade to the lates athmosphere (14.4) and hbmenu (3.3.0). I'm using the latest hekate (5.3.3) for booting up the system ... after starting the CFW (emu) it only shows a black screen ... I also downloaded the latest bootloader

At the moment I'm on emu CFW 9.2.0
Athmosphere 10.3
and hekate 5.3.3 is booting up the system
If I recopy my old files everything works fine.
Any help here what I'm doing wrong?
