v16.2.0: Labor Day release

What's new?

• The splash screen has been updated to reflect the official cover art!
  • Color banding has been minimized for both the TWLMenu++ BG and RocketRobz logo!
• DSi mode only: Color banding has been minimized for the photos displayed by the DSi theme, as well as box art.
• To make testing on NO$GBA easy, the NitroFS data is now read from the GBA slot instead of the SD card, if a .srldr file is booted by NO$GBA.
• Widescreen is now handled differently.
  • Re-follow the widescreen guide, as it has been updated.
  • Games that are incompatible with widescreen, will be stretched to 16:10.
• R4 theme now uses png files with more colors, instead of bmp files!
  
• The Homebrew Launcher music can now be set in TWLMenu++ Settings!

Bug fixes

• Sound crackles should no longer occur in nds-bootstrap.
• Updated TWLCFG check. If the name is found as empty, it'll fall back to the user settings from the DS firmware.
• Kung Fu Panda and Surf's Up can now boot with Heap Shrink set to Auto.
• Other fixes to enhance the user experience.

also when I do the widescreen guide it doesnt take up the full screen like for other people

Either this release is really broken or my SD Card is starting to go bad.
DSi theme, New 3DS XL, the background behind the box art is flashing rapidly, the menu theme is stuttering, and I can't do anything... literally, none of my buttons work except the home button. None of this happened until I updated today, though a few days ago the intro sound did stop playing frequently.
The problems can be fixed by uninstalling and downgrading to the previous version, but this clearly isn't ideal.

Yep just tried this for myself and its exactly the same for me its totally frozen

so the issue was we were using the experimental build

Done this but it didn't solve the problem myself and others have reported of the latest twighlight menu freezing when trying to pick a game. No button other than home works and the menu music goes all glitched.

my main issue is that widescreen required the gpu scale junk to look good problem is that its not that great in motion

Re-add the autoboot files.

Updated to the latest version and the top screen box art covers flicker and have a pink color background in the DSi theme, on the 3DS theme the menu freezes when scrolling games.

Had to manually revert to version 16.1.0 and everything seems to working correctly again.

Exactly the same issues myself and others have been reporting. Any ideas how to fix @Robz8

• Fixed photo flickering pink in DSi theme.
• Fixed top screen flicker in the `Now Saving...` screen.

• (@Pk11) Fixed deselecting cheats in one cheat folders.
• (@Pk11) Fixed two settings strings.

Known bug

• The DSi theme will still have a low chance of crashing in DSi mode.

I never had one my issue was that twighlight menu would freeze using the 3ds theme. Widescreen works perfectly for me.
