Hacking What kind of ban does Nintendo do?

Hello
With the recent rumor of a more powerful switch being released on early 2021, I'm considering buying it and hacking my old one
However, I'd like to know first...
if they manage to ban my old switch, will my new one be banned too?
I mean, they'll both be on the same IP, right?
I know Nintendo bans consoles, not IPs, but if two consoles are on the same IP, is there a way for them to ban both?

Typically it is system ban from online service, more severe is account ban.

The reported ones are usually:

1. Ban console - can't access Nintendo related internet services (online gaming and eshop)
2. Ban console 2 - same as 1 but can't even update console

Account bans are probably rare like if you use fake credit cards

I'm not sure how safe it is to still use that account, unless you like lie to Nintendo and say your switch was stolen and have them unlink your account from the old one.

if they ban a switch having my nintendo account linked on it

Why would they do that, imagine if multiple family members used the same internet..

Nah there are no IP bans. Running cfw, pirated games or cheats online gets you banned.
They usually ban the console's ID meaning its blacklisted in their server. If the account is banned it will also be banned on any switch new or used b/c that too is blacklisted.
