i can't make the L+R menu work on animal crossing
the L + Y works and i select the amiibo but it doesn't get recognized by the game
There is only a L + Y version and a start version, no L + R version, what game is this? :)
Hey hi there, I tested the non-client version with Mario party the top 100 and Mario & Luigi paper jam and with Mario party the console crashed and with the other nothing happened, I'm using an old 3ds and by the way do that version needs a WiFi connection?
Ah well this was unexpected, did you select your amiibo from wumiibo menu? Also no wifi connection is required.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Is it possible to add a third button to the combination and make it something no one would never ever accidentally press like "right + Y + start"
Ye it should be possible

Yes indeed I tested two amiibos with both games, however I will try it again later, oh and by the way it took various attempts for the menu to appear

Here is the non-client version, Please try with your games. L + Y brings up the wumiibo menu. Put your decrypted bins in `sd:/wumiibo/`.
Steps:-
Reach the Scan your amiibo screen
Press L + R, select your amiibo
it says both L + R and L + Y thats why i tried both
Is it possible to add a third button to the combination and make it something no one would never ever accidentally press like "right + Y + start"
right + Y + start seems like a good combination for this

It's good to see someone have another go at Amiibo emulation on 3DS as the previous attempt (NoAmii) seemed to only be in a PoC stage with numerous compatibility/stability issues. But is there any reason to make it network based? It's not like the Amiibo .bins are very big and you could easily fit all of them on the SD card taking up only a few megs of space. Unless it can automatically grab Amiibo data online so you don't need to have the .bins, much like how some of the Switch stuff works, I don't really see the benefit.

working on it :)
Automatically grabbing the Amiibo data online is something worth looking into, BTW. The way Emuiibo works on Switch now is it no longer needs bins, just the unique Amiibo IDs (which can be shared freely online without worrying about copyright infringement) and some metadata that goes along with it (images and some text info...) but the latter is only used by the clients that grab the info online to have a nice list of available Amiibo and that info isn't actually stored in the generated Amiibo .json files. The rest is not unique so it can be generated on the fly.

EmuTool is of special interest there as that is the network client that grabs all the Amiibo data from some server, and generates the .json files containing only the important data which the Switch sysmodule uses.

Yup I'm aware, but I want wumiibo to be able to produce bins which can be encrypted back and put into nfc215 cards, or I would have gone with this approach from the first day.

That should still be possible. Not currently with the approach Emuiibo is taking, but I mean, it should be possible to generate working .bins from just the unique metadata (and the relevant encryption key)

Maps to DOWN + L + START

it might be yes, I'll have a look at this later

Hey could you share your savefile for Mario Party so that I can skip actually playing the game and get directly to checking what's wrong? That will save me a lot of time

Yes I can , but I tried decrypting my amiibos again and I think that's the problem, my keys are bad the first time it does everything correctly but when I checked the decrypted amiibo and they are somehow extrange, can I PM you?
