It should be noted that, with fusee-primary, sysMMC is by default only if you do not have an emuMMC partition. If you create an emuMMC partition through hekate, fusee-primary will look at the emummc.ini file (placed in the emuMMC folder, both the folder and file are created by hekate when you create the emuMMC partition), which will always default to emuMMC first.
This is why I find it best to just stick to fusee-primary for the MMC where you will install games to (usually emuMMC since people will make that offline), then use fss0 for the other MMC (usually sysMMC) where they at least want to use homebrew. There will be very few cases where people would want to install games to both MMCs, which would require fss0 for both.

fusee-primary allows you to use Tinfoil, fss0 does not. If you don't use it, then fss0 is fine (as previously answered).
Why is the Hekate patches DMCA'd but not the ones for fusee-primary? They both do the same thing. I like to use the fusee-secondary and boot using Hekate because I can skip the bootscreens and boot faster.
thank you for the updated sigpatches-however, due to the fact that kosmos has been discontinued, should we be moving to another firmware? Which one is best to jump to if I'm used to Kosmos? I'm honestly not even sure what the difference is between firmwares, except that lots of people flame SXOS...
If by "firmware" you mean custom/customized firmware, or CFW for short, Kosmos is not a CFW. Kosmos is just a package of Atmosphere, Hekate, and some homebrew applications. You can continue using it as long as you update Hekate, Atmosphere, and whatever homebrew applications whenever appropriate. But if you want a package that still bundles Hekate & Atmosphere, SDSetup is a step above Kosmos since it lets you customize what you want.
That's kinda what I thought-but when I try to boot fusee-primary it loads atmosphere with a different boot logo...and it actually just boots to a yellow screen and is stuck.
You can try Deepsea, which aims to continue where kosmos left off.
Also, you might want to try removing your old cfw files first from your microsd and then putting a fresh new copy of cfw files onto your microsd.
Thanks for the suggestion. Part of the problem is that it's been so long since I actually set this stuff up (been running Kosmos since forever), I can't remember what I need to remove and what I need to leave on there.
Because the person who started to make the new sigpatches for fss0 decided to move it to GitHub (where the DMCA occurred) instead of simply uploading them as files to a post. fusee-primary sigpatches are still shared through regular file sharing, not through GitHub.
