Heya, so I currently have two Switches and I want to move my SD card from one to the other. Here's the set up and situation:

Switch 1:
  • Latest firmware with Atmo (non-emunand)
  • 512gb SD card
  • My SD card reader just broke (unfortunately) and thus I'm moving over to my other Switch. (The mobo's connecter broke so it's not really fixable)
Switch 2:
  • 3.0 fw
  • Hasn't been turned on in forever lol

Does anyone have a link to a tutorial on how I can use Switch 1's SD card in Switch 2? I imagine I'll have to extract the keys from both Switches, decrypt the contents of the SD card using S1's keys, re-encrypt them with S2's keys, update S2 using choidujournx, and hopefully it should work?

Thanks!

You can try to soldering wire connecting the SD card reader and the board together, seem mattytrog post in the thread above.

Need a bit of advice. I bought an RCM Jig online and the pins look different than the usual ones pictured. Usually the shorting pins are on either edge (so one on each side) but on mine the two are on the right. Is this normal? Will I fry my switch?

Edit: Had a look at the different types of Jigs and it looks like this uses Pin 7 rather than Pin 10. Removed pic.

What is the latest firmware to mod? I have a gen 1 switch that I want to sell so I can get a Pokémon switch lite. Now I have updated the firmware since I was using it for work. It's been a while since I checked the updated firmware stuff like what can be modded since my other modded switch I use more.
Firmware is irrelevant as the most relevant exploit, Fusee Gelee, relies on the hardware of vulnerable consoles and therefore works on any firmware.

ok Draxzelex, but in your opinion is really the same? Swicth <4.1.0 modded vs Switch not patched modded ?
An unpatched Switch is better than a patched Switch.
How do I uninstall cfw on my switch that has emummc? Should I just remove the SD Card and format it to remove cfw ?
CFW is not really "installed". CFW is just a bunch of files on your SD card. If you delete the CFW however, you will not be able to boot emuMMC.

Hello everybody.
Are there any ideas or solutions about Pokemon swap in sword and shield when using cfw?
(If there is already a solution, I have not found it unfortunately so far)
What?

Is their any kind of update on playing online with a ban switch? Or have to use lan play server?
Either use Switch LAN Play or Xlink Kai.

As long as the jig connects pin 10 to either 1, 7, or 9, your Switch will be fine. The most dangerous pin is number 4.

Hi, Im using Kosmos/atmosphere on my switch. I have 2 doubts.

1) To update the homebrew version, would I simply download the kosmos files and patches from github then drag and drop?

2) How can I update EmuNand's OS version? I assume I can only do this after I drop the updated kosmos/atmosphere files on my sd card? thanks

You can either replace the file on the SD on a computer or use the built in update for Kosmos, and there is a sig patches updates on the app shop.

Either way is fine, I usually update CFW files first then do firmware update easier that way when it reboot after flashing firmware. Keep in mind where you get your firmware files from, some place has broken firmware file, beware of the umbra site.

That is the CFW files not system firmware files, you can get firmware files from Darthsternie, that what I use when I update my CFW unit, make a NAND backup before updating just incase firmware flashing fail.

So I'm still trying to make the switch from reinx to atmosphere with kosomos.

But when I download sigpatches from sd setup and compare them with the sigpatches from
https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-heard-that-you-guys-need-some-sweet-patches-for-atmosphere.521164/

I get a difference in the folder "kip_patches":
sd setup:
kip_patches => default_nogc
gbaetmp sweet patches:
kip_patches => fs_patches

So what do I do with this? These are 2 completely different named folders and different content???

Please tell me why. Now I've got a Diablo Switch (with able to mod fw). I can buy in adding an unpatched grey Switch, IF I'll find it and with some money in my wallet.
An unpatched console can be hacked on whatever firmware it is on unlike a patched console which can only be hacked on certain firmware versions. You will lose access to hacking if you either update the firmware or receive the supernag. You do not have to worry about either of these things with an unpatched unit therefore making them superior over their patched counterparts.

Read up on it in this thread. By the way, the fix for the supernag only works on unpatched consoles because you need homebrew to remove the supernag which the supernag removes the ability to use on patched Switches.

Thank you so much for your advices. All useful in my noob head :)
Only a little last (I hope) question: I hear about a possibility to send payload to my patched 4.1.0 switch... with an android phone. But I didn't succeed to find anything about. Can you help me? After this, my theory will be over. I must try to mod this Switch.

If by send payload, you mean via USB, that is impossible on a patched Switch. Patched consoles refer to the USB exploit being patched. So far, the only way to hack a patched console is with Deja Vu which sends payload over a network connection.

Network connection do you mean without connect usb? Do you mean to navigate with browser to an opportune address?
