Hacking vWii emunand in different region possible?

I have a Japanese Wii U and I’d like to set up an emunand for the vWii with US region.

Is something like this possible?

I have a Japanese Wii and was able to set up a US region Neek on that, but it was so long ago that I’ve completely forgotten how I did it.

But vWii doesn’t allow this I guess?
