a noob question, I have everything running good, but my sd card is getting full. Can I simply copy everything from the current SD card to the new 200GB SD card. Should it work that way or I have to re install everything. thanks
I believe they have a converter on their site you can use to convert the fusee-primary.bin file in Atmosphere's 0.8.4 release in the meantime.Hi there! First post at the forum.
I use an R4S dongle and jig to use Atmosphere on my Switch 6.2, at least until I mistakenly updated to 7.0.0.
I patiently waited for an update to launch, but now that we have Atmos 0.8.4 I wonder where is the UF2 payload file I need to copy on the dongle so I can launch the new Atmosphere.
Do I have to wait for R4i´s site to be updated or can I go ahead on my own following any tutorial?
I really would like to have my emulators on the go again.
Hope somebody can shed some light about this!
Have a few no0b Q's before I start and could use some awesome community help! After reading a few guides and various posts I feel like I have a basic gist of things but would like some confirmations too. Thanks in advance!
I have a switch on 4.0.1 and am looking to run HB and legal baks of the carts I have now. Ive verified its unpatched and ran the fusee-test.bin successfully.
1) Is Hekate and Atmosphere a good and safe (safe as can be expected from modding anyway) route to go for FW 4.0.1 in Feb 2019 still or is there a better way now?
1a) Should I use the latest most updated versions of them (Hekate and Atmosphere) or older versions?
2) Am I correct in understanding that staying on lower FW is generally best, but at the loss of some features contained in those updates and the ability to play some newer games?
3) Do I need to worry about expending e-fuses in the above mentioned process?
4) Do I have to boot and dump payloads with a jig every time or is something like AutoRCM reasonable to accompany (or even already a part of) this setup?
5) Is there anything else you awesome people think I should know or do or understand to help with the process before I start?
I don't think so although I am not sure which one it would default to.Would there be any conflict if the same xci game is on SD card AND external HDD?
For what purpose do you require the keys for?Ive gather a bunch of keys from the internet, however none of them seem to work for conversions etc. I tried dumping my console keys with lockpick, but it does not dump all of them including TEGRA key. I am also unable to dump part of the keys in Hekate. (Firmware 7.0.1)
Thanks,
You can use the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX to not only update your firmware but do so without burning fuses meaning you can return to firmware 4.1 at any time in case a better exploit is released for that firmware in the future. The firmware I recommend updating to is 6.2 and 7.X is displaying some incompatibilities with certain homebrew apps and all non-Atmosphere CFW.Definitely a noob question, I just purchased a switch with a XAW7 safe serial with 4.1.0 software. Before I start all the guides and tutorials, is it best to stay at this software or can I safely update to a certain one that still allows homebrew, cfws, etc?
Yes.arculus something similar i asked too for me also, anyway i downloaded a payload biskey payload to be exact and it brought a bunch of text and a smiley face with its eyes rotataing, does that mean my switch is unpatched good to go for cfw?

Tinfoil doesn't need keys. You are referring to DZ. If you want to install .NSP files, you can use the real Tinfoil or Goldleaf. You just have to use USB install instead. Another alternative is DevMenu but cannot share links as it is a copyrighted program. For dumping keys with 4NXCI, you will have to downgrade to 6.2 as lockpick doesn't support firmware 7.X yetTinfoil as well as for 4nxci GUI.
Thanks,

not sure what is emunand, I have followed the guide and able to run atmosphere on 7.0.1 with the latest sigpatches, installed bunch of games, thats why my SD card is full now, what should I do to change to larger 200GB cardAre you using emunand? If so is it a hidden (separate) partition?
I don't know of any way to install .XCI files on 7.X aside from converting them to .NSP files first. But yes, DevMenu was mainly used for installing .NSP files in the past but now its useful again for installing .NSP files as the normal way of installing them is broken until further notice.Ok perfect. Just as I thought. I am assuming that you can't really find text files containing the necessary keys?
DevMenu is for NSP files only, correct? Is there any other program right now that supports XCI installs on 7.0?
I am also wondering if there is a reason the NSP files are much smaller than the XCI files?
Installed a few games with Goldleaf and they work fine. Thank you!!
Just so you know, safer does not mean safe. Also if you are restoring your NAND, then it doesn't matter whether you use .XCI or .NSP files.Guys, XCI files installed on atmosphere is safer than NSP ones? If I just restore my nand to before Atmosphere, and install XCI only, through n1dus, I probably won't be banned when 7.0 gets full support of Atmosphere and i'll be able to get updates and go online?
For dumping keys with 4NXCI, you will have to downgrade to 6.2 as lockpick doesn't support firmware 7.X yet
When you day nsp containes bare minimum what do you mean? Does it effect game content at all?I don't know of any way to install .XCI files on 7.X aside from converting them to .NSP files first. But yes, DevMenu was mainly used for installing .NSP files in the past but now its useful again for installing .NSP files as the normal way of installing them is broken until further notice.
.NSP files contain the bare minimum while .XCI files are padded with other things that always make them larger than .NSP files.
Just so you know, safer does not mean safe. Also if you are restoring your NAND, then it doesn't matter whether you use .XCI or .NSP files.
Only if you have fully updated fs patches and not necessarily. Updated keys would only be for .XCI files that use the new keys on firmware 7.X which don't exist yet.Two quick questions: if I upgrade to 7.0.1, will nsp files I made from xci using 4nxci on 6.2.0 still work? Would the need for an updated lockpick and new dumped keys only be for nsp files I create from xci (again using 4nxci) while on 7.0.1?
.XCI files tend to contain system/game updates (as well as other content) that bloats their size. .NSP is basically just the game hence why they are and will always be smaller. When you day nsp containes bare minimum what do you mean? Does it effect game content at all?
Install a modchip/trinket.Maybe Im missing something...
So I followed the sdsetup dot com guide and am able to get HB, but have a little confusion at the moment. If I enable AutoRCM in Hecate is there some way to have a specific payload auto inject from the SD or something so I dont have to keep connecting it to my PC to inject it from Tegra just to get to the CFW?
