Hacking Re-install Homebrew channel on VWII after updating to 5.5.2 from 5.5.1

Hello fellow members,

please allow me to apologize profusely should this topic have been already posted.

Recently, I have updated my WiiU from 5.5.1 to 5.5.2 to have Mocha running offline with Brainage. I was unable to purchase Brainage on 5.5.1 because the nintendo store forced me to update to 5.5.2.

When I was on 5.5.1, I followed the guide from Game In Canada to install the homebrew channel on the Virtual Wii (). After the update I launched the homebrew channel and did not find any applications on the sd card. Now, I want to proceed and install the homebrew channel on the Virtual Wii again. Can I follow the steps on clean installing the virtual wii again? Or will this brick my console? What other steps can I follow to have the homebrew channel running on this current configuration?

It sounds like you still have HBC but it's just not showing any homebrew? Reinstalling it wouldn't change that.

Thank you. What do I need to do? Reinstall the entire homebrew channel by going through entire steps or just copying a new homebrew channel to the sd card?

Press home and make sure HBC is not set to load homebrew from USB, and make sure the SD card is recognized in the Wii menu.

Thank you. I was able to run the Homebrew again by loading the files to my SD card.
