whats the login
Probably pi:raspberry, but I forget.

BTW, I hope you all know that there will be a proper open external "modchip" soon. Basically just a SwitchMe with a battery. There will probably be a lot of third party options too just as soon as they get around to recognizing that a market exists and stealing the code. I mean, it's basically just a barely modified Trinket M0. In fact, just take a Trinket M0 and slap a battery on it and you essentially have that. Boot time for the device itself is instant (there is no OS, so no actual boot) and I'd swear it even delivers the payload to the Switch faster.

Just for the record I said "pi:raspberry" not "raspberry:blank password."

Anyway, the payload in the setup the OP created is in a subdirectory of /etc (I forget what it was just atm) and probably owned by root. You most likely will have to use sudo or su to gain root access to it. If you aren't very familiar with linux I guess it would be simplest just to say type su before trying to replace the payload.

i try to replace the payload but i get an error message saying Error Moving file Permission Denied
you need to change owner and group of the files and perms do that in ssh :

sudo chown root:root -R /etc/fusee-launcher/
sudo chmod -R 777 /etc/fusee-launcher/

This will give full permission and right owner of the files.
This way it should work if not try changing the .sh file (not sure of the name)
it have a while with a command like that :
./fusee-launcher.py -w fusee.bin

so just change it this way :

sudo python3 ./fusee-launcher.py -w fusee.bin
if you need more help feel free :)

Why is this version better than this one? https://gbatemp.net/threads/fusee-gelee-with-raspberry-pi-3.502136/
The one in the mentioned thread doesn't need additional hardware beside the basics
This one uses no additional hardware either. Why would any use any additional hardware? You're just sending data through USB, so I don't see how it would even be possible to involve any other hardware in the process than a USB cable. Whether it is better or not I don't know since I haven't used the other (all that really matters is how easy it is to replace the payload, how quickly it boots up, and how well it handles shutting down forcibly instead of properly.)

Actually, the other looks more developed so may be better in that respect. I still say that it's now better to setup a Tinker M0 if you're going so far as to do something like this though.
