In the early days of the switch homebrew scene, using layeredfs, back ups of games were able to be played without the actual key (pre sxos as well). Could this hypothetically work with the preload version of Mario party?
you don't understand, right? One would think the titlekey becomes irrelevant in that hypothetical situation. The donor game has a titlekey and the host game is just being swapped via layeredfs. So the switch boots the original game (or so it think it does) but the files are swapped with the new game (Mario party for instance).
You need the title key to extract the NSP to get the files for LayeredFSOne would think the titlekey becomes irrelevant in that hypothetical situation. nope, you can extract the NSP without the titlekey. It's just an archive. You need the title key to extract the NSP to get the files for LayeredFS
Ok, yes, that's what I meant.nope, you can extract the NSP without the titlekey. It's just an archive.
The titlekey is needed to extract the Program-NCA (exefs, romfs, logo)
