rebug is an xml file with a link inside. iirc, the update will be around 200MBs. it's named after its MD5, so check that before installing. speaking of which, I think the update has its own checksum (based on what I read on psdevwiki), but it's better to be extra cautious.

will do

-edit-

damn i realised i need a windows machine to use the tools... ill have to wait till the kids asleep to use my desktop

@Hayato213 Which cfw do you recommend, this guy is using Ferox but isnt there a better one out?

Im using rebug

so the nand/nor writer has been updated to a completely different file.... not the same as the guide and the old files are not available.

Ive had 100% success with 1.0 and 2.0 with about 100 ps3s done. 2.0 is much smoother.

what im saying is that im very particular when it comes to following guides, i dont like to deviate. so im looking for a guide for 2.0

iirc it should be the same concept, just 2.0 is much smoother, as long you use the correct Nor Dumper and Flasher not NAND you won;t brick.

Im at this point lol...

CEX, it is retail, DEX is developer, CEX is what you should be using.
