Team-Xecuter Announces SX OS v1.6 with 'Stealth Mode' and More

Team-Xecuter is back again updating their SX OS
SX16.jpg

Their update v1.6 introduces something new and cool called 'Stealth Mode' which you can read all about, below in their official TX announcement:
Today, we are releasing version 1.6 of SX OS. This update addresses two important things pertaining compatibility and safety. (Two key elements on our priority list)

Lets have a look at what's new!
  • Add support for 32GB XCI files (Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2)
It came to our attention that 32GB XCI files were not working with SX OS. Since game compatibility is high up there on the priority list of Team Xecuter, we investigated this issue and are happy to report this has been resolved. You can now enjoy these content-packed bigger games like Dragon Quest Heroes!
  • Introducing Stealth Mode
Stealth Mode is our solution to prevent console bans. In SX OS v1.6 and onwards this feature will be enabled by default.
    • You can still disable Stealth Mode from the TX menu if you really wish to do so, however we do not recommend this (unless your Switch is already banned).
    • With Stealth Mode enabled your Switch system is not able to send any Switch personal information to Nintendo's servers while still allowing basic Internet functionality (for eg homebrew). Things like local WiFi play is also still possible!
    • Keep in mind Stealth Mode is only active when you are running SX OS! If you occasionally boot back into original Switch firmware you may expose yourself to a ban risk if you have modified your Switch system by installing NSP titles for example, so we do not recommend this!
    • Playing XCI titles in SX OS with Stealth Mode enabled should NOT get you banned when booting/using your original Switch firmware online. This is why we personally prefer our Game Cartridge emulation solution, and so should you! ;-)
We are working on a solution to allow a clean separation between the SX OS system and your original Switch firmware. Stay tuned!
Enough chit-chat, enjoy this fine release. And keep an eye out for what's yet to come!

Thanks very much for this work. I hope to see their solution for unhackable switch in the near future, since it's been for a while :D

If you want them to know you are unhappy then I suggest you complain to them.
Thank you for finally accepting it. Because that is precisely what this thread and my initial comment was about. They need to stop copying stuff that has been available for ages and start thinking of genuinely adding "exciting new features" that they promised. Get emunand working before the scene, find a way to play online with other SXOS users using some sort of tunneling for local multiplayer. Make your OS compatible with the ipatched switches. Get creative.

No it's not the same. It seems you like jumping to negative conclusions, no wonder you're so angry.
You're doing a terrible job of explaining it, then. How is their stealth mode any different than what has been available to non-paying users for a considerable time? Their stealth mode is nothing more than a stubbed creport and blocked Nintendo servers. The first of which has been available for weeks, the second of which even before the switch was released (as it is basic networking, I'd say decades).

I don't care, but it seems clear that I'm not wrong.
Guess we're both salty then :)

Finally an update that's actually useful instead of all that integrated FTP and NSP installer shit.

The only other feature I'd like to see at this point, aside from emuNand obviously, is the ability to manage and backup/restore save data from their menu without having to resort to using homebrew.

Agreed, they should steal Checkpoint next. I love it.

I couldn't help myself, too many good eshop only games i needed to pirate. Does this mean i can never play a legit game online unless i switch to a clean system (by emunand or just factory resetting the whole thing)?

Actually there is one feature I'd like to see rather than any other and that's XCI ejection. I'm not sure if there's some technical reason why they haven't included this but being forced to reboot the console when you want to change from an XCI to a physical cartridge seems ridiculous, especially since SXOS is a paid-for product.

You cannot download anything Nintendo-related in Stealth Mode.

So effectively all it's doing is preventing log and cert data from being sent to Nintendo while in SXOS by blocking all of Nintendo's network traffic?

It's what happens the next time you reboot into OFW mode that worries me.

If your intent is to never connect to the net, you can use NSP... as it won’t make a difference since you are self banning.

As far as updating firmware for compatibility, an XCI typically contains the required firmware to play it - so no need to connect.

Yup, but after they "steal" it they'll just make it better. Like adding a a cheat editor to it. cross fingers.

maybe because you're the only sx-os user that still uses physical cartridges...lol Why don't you just get the xci for the physical game you want to play in inject the cert

Because I don't want to. I doubt that use case scenario is totally unique to me either.

Oh and FYI, people who use cheats are twats.

It's a module that allow you to play music in a wanted title, for exemple some people like play menu in the home menu :D:D:D
So, it's just to listen to some game music in the menu screen of the switch?
Still don't gets the point of it, why not listen to it in the mobile or PC?

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
