as we know it, AutoRCM is purposely corrupting the boot partition so it'll boot to RCM everytime we turn on our Switch. So far its working fine without issues for me but what about long term? In OFW, wont Nintendo be able to detect that AutoRCM is enabled and ban the Switch? On the other hand a jig might damage the joycon rail hardware due to constant shorting and wear&tear. Please do share if you have a safer method. Thanks

Personally i say order a replacement joycon rail from ebay or aliexpress its oem equipment so no chance in destroing switch tablet

If you are using AutoRCM but are still experiencing battery drainage issues, try manually powering off for 12 seconds instead of using power off from the menu. Its bizarre that only some users are experiencing this issue (unless people are lying...)

Maybe a bit off-topic.

But what tool have you, who have it working without battery issues, used for installing it?

Hekate CTCaer's MOD, Briccmii, or SX OS?

Today I tested briccmii v2 and the sx o2 Auto rcm .... both drained my battery heavy ~8% per hour. (When shutting down in horizon).
But I found a solution to my problem:
When I want to shut down i have to boot in sx os option menu and select power off from there. Then my switch is completely off!

I have a piece of tinfoil in my right joycon at pins 9+10, normally when I do this the right joycon charges but it's wireless while the left one is a wired connection, but this latest time I've used tinfoil my right joycon is a wired connection but it still works, press power button = Horizon OFW, hold VOL UP + power button = RCM

Dunno why it's different this time but i'm happy, it's basically AutoRCM using tinfoil, only downside is if I remove the right joycon the tinfoil will be adjusted and it will mess it up

See idk why, but I dont have this issue?? It doesn't drain. Went to work with it being at 91% and turned it on to it being 91%

I fixed the wireless issue by pairing the controller back to the switch. However i removed the foil used brickmii and AutoRCM

I had AutoRCM installed for a few days while I was fucking about with Linux, ended up nearly killing my Switch, always kept it plugged in at 100% but it wouldn't boot into RCM, just had a black screen, ended up leaving my switch for like 3 days and plugged it into my computer and tried it after about an hour and it finally came on, uninstalled AutoRCM after that happened

I use a DIY jig, no AutoRCM. I'm mostly playing backups so I can just keep my Switch in sleep mode with SX OS. I got a bit scared of the battery drain issues, hence just staying with 'regular' RCM instead of AutoRCM.

Initially I was paranoid about enabling auto-rcm, and had good luck with tinfoil+tape, but thinking it over I began to worry I'd damage/bend/wear out the pins, and went to autorcm which has worked fine.

Why should I shut off the switch to have this battery problem when you can simple leave in sleep mode and there aren't problems ?
What's the point to use the dongle/cable to launch Hekate every day?
I'm really happy with auto RCM.
Mobile phones are always on and after years they don't have any problems.
