Well No one found it yet.
Technically, no-one has publicly released or announced they've found it yet. It may be available privately.

Unlike the 3DS, where system version was not too much of a concern due to downgrading (until 11.0), the switch cannot be downgraded, period. You should tell them why. This is a special exception/situation that isn't the norm for other blooming hacking scenes.
You need the SD Card Update to Run Backups so even If you are on 3.0 and dont have the update. You lost.
Since Games are 7 GB + which dont Work in FAT32
Okay, but this is all revolving around a single entrypoint whereas other consoles typically lost all sources and entrypoints into CFW and homebrew when updated. The ONLY reason to stay low on a Switch is for a software method which to some people would not matter. If you're going to tell someone to stay low, tell them why, that way they have the option. It isn't as important on the Switch as it is on other consoles.Unlike the 3DS, where system version was not too much of a concern due to downgrading (until 11.0), the switch cannot be downgraded, period.
If any better (perhaps untethered?) solution is found for lower firmwares there will be no way to reverse your decision to update.
EmuNAND solutions are on the way for people wanting to play their games that require higher firmware, all they have to do is be patient.
I know being patient can be hard, but be sure to weigh your options before updating. If you absolutely cannot wait, or are not bothered with the possibility of missing out on better hacks, then go ahead and update.
Otherwise you should stick to whatever sysNAND version you currently have, and wait there for an emuNAND solution.
This is outdated. It's only loosely true at this point. the "inconveniences" and hardmod need to be clarified as it's NOT as extreme as people are making out to be.For goodness sake there's a freaking sticky on this exact topic.

For the SUPER lazy:
- 1.0.0 is the best firmware. If you're on 1.0.0, stay on 1.0.0. It will have a non-coldboot solution to launch CFW.
- 2.0.0 - 3.0.0 are next-best, and are interchangeable. If you're on 2.0.0-2.3.0, feel free to update to 3.0.0 to use the Homebrew Launcher. It will be able to launch CFW without a hardmod.
- 3.0.1 - 4.1.0 are interchangeable, and also good. If you're on them, *stay* on them. They are "safe" for custom firmware, but you currently cannot use the Homebrew Launcher with them. It will need a hardmod to launch CFW, but will eventually see a hardmod-less solution.
- >=5.0.0 presents "inconveniences" with homebrew/cfw implementation. It's still advised to NOT UPDATE. A hardmod will be required to launch CFW.

Sorry, that was meant for someone else, not you. I erased it from my previous comment earlier.I explained why.
No, this is still exactly true. A hardmod is a hardmod, which some people may see as an inconvenience to have to use. 1.0 won't require a hardmod at all and the others (higher than 1.0 and lower than 5.0) will see softmod. Upgrading to 5.0 at this point in time will require a hardmod for an undetermined amount of time. We know for fact 4.1 and lower will receive softmod within the next year.

No, it's not "exactly true". Yes, a hardmod is a hardmod, but when people envision hardmod, they're thinking about opening up consoles, soldering, chips, shit like. No one thought that the hardmod would be something as simple as shoving a wire into a slot on the outside of the Switch. This shit needs to be clarified so people can make an informed and educated guess. What you and multiple other people are doing is spreading incomplete information.
I understand that anything higher than 4.1.0 will require the jig or modification, but not everyone else will know that this DOES NOT mean they'll lose access to CFW. All I'm saying is that you need to clarify and make sure that people understand that.
I'm not sure what that has to do with the conversation.Well the 3DS hard mod was just soldering some wires, just that the person who doing the modding needs to be good at soldering and understands electronics.

You must have skipped over all the conversation we've been having and went for boilerplate responses.Do NOT update until free Atmosphere will be released. Lower is always better
