Hacking Is Reinand useless now for newer titles?

Hi
I'm on Reinand 11.0.0-33U, and I have not used my New3DS for a while, but I tried installing Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology and it doesn't get past the 3DS boot logo, so is this resolvable by updating Reinand to a later version or do you think I have to try this other one called Luma3DS. What I don't want to happen is to lose my installed games and folder with gba snes and other consoles games installed on the main menu.
Little help here?

ReiNand has newer versions, I believe, but it's highly recommended by most to use Luma3DS instead.

allright ill try that... god I forgot everything about how to add a new cfw to the bootloader menu... (well that thing that makes you choose from a few choices before launching the 1rst one in the list)

Well, are you using menuhax, arm9loaderhax, or boot9strap? Do you have an emunand?

Looks like you have a really dated setup - I'd look into installing boot9strap, as it's the only exploit Luma3DS runs on.

I'd suggest looking at 3ds.guide for help.

Anyone know a place to download actual reinand cfw updates 11.6 or later because if i try to update from the console of wifi after a few minutes of loading it fails

have you updated to b9s yet? do that first. the guide will tell you to run luma3ds cfw but you can just as well use rei-six if you choose (but lumas Rosalina is recommended way to run homebrew) https://github.com/CrimsonMaple/Rei-Six/releases

after you are on b9s and latest luma or rei-six then you should be able to update system firmware to 11.6 via system settings no problem.

I recommend using reisix
also might just need a system update
reinand shouldn't be causing any issues

It's AuReiNAND on arm9loaderhax. :thinking:

Seems like you have AuReiNAND, not ReiNAND. Luma3DS is actually the latest iteration of AuReiNAND, so you can switch to that if you like. It got a lot more features since then.
Rei-six is based on the original ReiNAND like AuReiNAND was before it was rewritten and renamed to Luma3DS. It's more basic I believe, although it will work just the same for playing games.

Well I seem to be screwed after getting the message that the update was ready in the main screen where all the games are listed... i pressed ok and i get a black screen of death when trying to start reinand since.

Sooo where to begin from scratch, Like link at the begining of BOTW, I have no memory of anything I ever did with my n3ds here's a screen of that happens when i boot the console. if I choose reinand = black screen, if i choose aurei it boots back into this menu.

Do you have a nand backup? It sounds like you might have a menuhax problem

I sure hope there is a way to fix this without losing any games installed and savegames
