Hey, so in another thread I saw someone said they have game gear, and Sega CD games on their 3ds, lol how

I have only the emulators that came with the starter pack plus a couple I added in. Systems I got are nes, snes, Atari lynx (system sucked will probly delete that one), GBA, GBC, and Genesis. I don't have retro arch yet, my phone died and am saving for a new one so I can put stuff on my system yet and wanna get a bigger SD card anyways

Well, I'm an O3DS user so my options are kinda limited at the moment, but i do have 4 working at full speed, VirtuaNES, SNES9x, Gambatte, and gpSP. They work relatively well, although i haven't been able to play any SuperFX SNES games, I also have TWLoader for DS Games, but that's not "technically" not a DS Emulator

ok,, so after I posted that up above,, I did click on titledb , and now my 3ds just got way cooler lmfao, I didn't know I could do that before. there are a lot of things I don't know if I need them or not now. so I installed retroarch, and some emulators. didn't see what I can use to play segacd games,, but that doesn't matter. currently I have only a 32 gb sd card in my 3ds. I need a new phone so I can get a better card, amongst other things. the phone I used to type these comments in is called an alcatel pixie touch,, look up the specs on that,, and you'll see why I say lol I cant really do anything. literally the crappiest phone you can get. I paid $10 for it brand new.... it is only good thing about it is to go online with and use facebook, and it isn't even really good at doing that.

ok,, so I am going to ask you, what are all the systems that you all know of that are able to be emulated on n3ds???

I know there is a 2600 emulator out there somewhere, but I read about it and I heard it crashes here and there. but id still get it cuz who doesn't love 2600 ya know.

lol i got one of those i paid $5 at dollar general for it . . . yeah it sucks and the best thing you can do to improve on that is to delete facebook (facebook takes up a lot of space) other than that you can go into the playstore enter settings and turn off auto updating apps then go to system settings and disable apps you never use (like google newsstand/google music/ect)

when I had went to titledb I had gotten, a neo geo pocket emulator, 2 turbo grafix 16 emulators, dosbox, and some of the cores for the well known systems. (gba, snes, nes, gbc) I saw pcsx rearmed on there,, but im sure playstation games have to run like crap on n3ds. are there any n64, 3do etc emulators? what about a normal neo geo emulator

when I was looking on titledb, there were a bunch of snes9x emulators like: 2003,2005, 2010, and one of them was plus. I just got the 2010 one,, I don't know what the differences are between them so whatever.

2003 and 2005 run full speed on N3DS with all games, 2005+ has better audio at the cost of performance, and 2010 runs super slow even on N3DS (though you can get passable framerates for a few games by turning audio sync off).

Overall just use SNES9X for O3DS, or 2005 if you don't want to let go of those precious mosaic effects.

I've been searching around but can't find an answer. I downloaded some pre made snes cia files and ran across some that had snes9x inject into them vs the usual stock VC emulator. How do you do that, make a file that is both snes roms + snes9x into a cia? I find the snes9x emulator is better than the stock one.

Ah, no i didn't do that, I just installed the emulator, made a ROMS folder and then put the roms into the into it. No VC injecting at all.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
