Can someone tell me how to made Retroarch Neo Geo to choose the bios? I put in my neogeo.zip and it keep default to loading the euro/asia bio instead of uni-bio

Make sure you have Uni bios in neogeo.zip

Go into quick menu
select options
select use unibios.

If you press square triangle and circle and start together on the bios screen you can select the region and arcade or console mode
if you press just T C amd O then you get into the settings

in game using above also does stuff

select use unibios.

If you press square triangle and circle and start together on the bios screen you can select the region and arcade or console mode
if you press just T C amd O then you get into the settings

in game using above also does stuff

I tried the quick menu, option and on bios i change to unibio 3.2.

restart the game, on booting screen square triangle and circle and start together, nothing happen.

There is NO way for it to stop default to euro bios?

It is possible to enter the AES mode instantly without having to go through the Unibios screen. Just go to the "quick menu", "options" and in "Neo Geo Mode" you leave AES marked. This will only work on the latest versions of retroarch (1.5.1, for example) and needs the right bios to work.

P.S. In the same options screen you can choose the bios in the footer of the screen.

you will need unibios 3.1 or upwards.
If on v15 go to
quick menu
options
NeoGeoUnibios set to on
Press and hold square,x,o at boot screen
you should be able to boot bios and select region etc
And when doing above save configuration for core.
That way the AES mode will always start.

Do you have the neogeo.zip with the bios inside?
Make sure you have the complete version.
It has multiple items in the zip.
place it in both the restroarch systems folder and the games folder. So two copies.

If you have selected the unibios in the quick menu when the game starts it should show the version and if arcade on the start.

Thats when you press and hold the three buttons down

It works on mine so should with yours

Just a very laggy PoC from early this year. No built avaible, you need to compile it.

Any advice on how to run pc engine cd game? i put the bios in the correct folder, the pc engine core start up but then black screen, no error.

make sure you have Syscard3.pce in the retroarch/system/ folder.
You should have bin cue files of the game.
Load core then load content

It should work OK If not then your game files are not OK.

I do this and never got a problem. Make sure your configuration has the right folder selected.
And do a list of recommendations for PCEngine .

Well, with Adrenaline having guaranteed issues with Valkyrie Profile, does anyone know if suspend mode works normally within Retroarch's PCSXR core yet? I'd rather not have to play in short bursts.

Don't bother telling me to play the PSP version.
