Not saying I can right now, but would I, like with current work and also legally, be able to work on this project? If I get better at C this might be an interesting project. I really like it and like the idea and it's a shame to see it end.
Yeah, I can see how that'd become problematic. If I start working on this I'd definitely upload the source on github and you could make a fork.I've been pondering about the idea of refactoring most of the code on Cyanogen3DS, ever since I worked with it, it seemed severely hardcoded. That's perfectly fine for something like a PoC, but once a project gains popularity you gotta make a better system.
Unfortunately, since Joel16 won't work on it any further (doesn't matter why) it seemed like a bit of a waste. Especially because most people here are simply asking for features instead of actually implementing them or at least suggesting ways to do so.
However, if you'd be willing to continue development I'd definitely do a few changes and "hand over" the project to you.
Cool! This could be a fun project over the summerYeah sure feel free to continue you it if you like. Just change the name and the logo of the project to be safe.
No you just need the homebrew launcher.Do you need CFW to run these types of things?
It's been a while since I've done any 3DS related things (apart from working on 3DSident). I recently started working on a new VITA homebrew, called PSVShell, which instead of using the whole Android GUI, it rather makes use of the CM File Manager, and lets you play music, open pictures, conduct basic file operations such as cut, copy, rename etc.
I was thinking of doing the same for the 3DS, and then this happened!
It's still very early and quite limited right now, but I am planning on adding FTP support along other things such as photo viewer, possibly zip extraction and maybe CIA installation if it's highly requested among other things.
Sighax doesn't make the magic of making a full OS from scratch!!!If you made this into a customhome menu with sighax, you would be amazing.
Are you going to add anything to the bottom screen?
I KNOW, I know that, but i believe it would be easier with sighax.Sighax doesn't make the magic of making a full OS from scratch!!!
That was alreally posible before A9LH (check Linux for 3DS).
No, it really wouldn'tI KNOW, I know that, but i believe it would be easier with sighax.
How to install a custom OS with A9LH:I KNOW, I know that, but i believe it would be easier with sighax.
Yeah no sighax stuff here sorry.
This is actually going a lot smoother than I thought it would. If everything goes well I may release a test build pretty soon (either tonight or tomorrow).
Oh and here's an updated screenshot.

Do you think you can make it so we can open homebrew apps with it? (3dsx files) like the homebrew launcher.
It is looking very good, kinda reminds me snes9x's GUI
Yeah once I release the test builds, I will. Are you going to release the source code?
It would be awesome if it could start homebrew in 3dsx
