Also the fact that the new 2DS isn't released yet
A bit off topic, but since the gaming sites have posted their first impression videos. I wonder if those are production units. Is it already in production and they're just stockpiling enough units for launch? If that's the case, it could be very hackable barring any hardware revision.

1 last question, is a 4gb card enough to do the whole process, then upgrade to a 64gb a little while later?

or will a micro sd card work in an adapter?

Remember to follow the guide rather than videos. The videos are usually outdated.

I have another noob question, I have tried to google it but think since a lot of stuff is now updated I may struggle to find the correct answer.

Anyways I would like to upgrade my 32GB card to 64GB, I followed the guide and have freeshop installed, is it simply a case of formatting the new card and transferring all the files from the old one?

Thanks

So I hacked a console for someone, and now they're complaining their games, wallpapers and save files are gone. Here's the scenario:

I moved the contents of the SD card onto my computer, as I wanted to run h2testw on a fully empty SD card. Everything checked out. I hacked the console as usual. I forgot however, to put the contents of the SD card back onto the SD card before I hacked it, so obviously when I returned the console to her, she complained the aforementioned things are gone.

So hey I thought, if I just pack up the files and have her re-add them onto the SD card (namely the Nintendo 3DS folder), things should re-appear right? Well, she's saying they're not. What's going on exactly? I've never really hacked any console that had anything on it beforehand, but to my understanding when you restore the backup everything should be as they were, so I don't really understand why re-adding the files on the SD card hasn't solved the issue? The tickets should be there already due to restoring the backup right?

She might have formatted the console?

I have the latest CFW (luma3ds) and I had a .cia file with a lot of themes. I installed it but now all themes disappeared?!?! How can I prevent that from happening? I want to keep the themes.

Also, I would like to play SNES games.. now I have seen "custom" .cia SNES Games. Is it better to use these .cia or should I install an Emulator and then run the roms? What would offer better performance/graphics etc.?

Thank you guys!

If you were using Howling Theme Tool, the themes will disappear if you open the eShop.

If you are using a new 3ds, use the SNES VC injects. If you are using an old 3ds, use an emulator.
